Spanning three levels, the Main House (also referred to as 'Koyomo House') is thoughtfully designed to support both connection and solitude, easily functioning as two distinct living spaces if so desired. Its warm, earthy interiors invite rest, reflection, and creativity, while nearly every room opens to an outdoor terrace - perfect for sunrise coffee, sunset dining, or stargazing under the canyon sky. The space The exterior features a lush grassy lawn, expansive decks, and a brand new hot tub, perfectly positioned to take in dramatic canyon vistas. The lower level offers a fully self-contained guest suite with its own private entrance. This serene retreat includes two bedrooms, one bathroom, a sitting area, kitchenette, washer/dryer, and a peaceful patio that flows onto the lawn- ideal for guests, extended family, or creative residencies. The second level, accessible by its own entrance (or by the stairs between the levels), features a chef’s kitchen, half bathroom, and a spacious open floor plan that seamlessly connects the living and dining areas. Expansive decks frame sweeping mountain views, while a cozy gas fireplace and smart TV provide comfort and connection. On the third level, a lofted master suite offers a light-filled sanctuary with a full bathroom and a tranquil creative office space that includes a comfortable cot - perfect for quiet focus, writing, or contemplation. Guest access Guests have full access to all three levels of the Main House, including decks, patios, and pathways through the surrounding property. The Skyway Apartment and Yurt Studio are in separate structures and may be occupied during your stay unless booked together. The yurt is available by special arrangement. Ample parking is available along the railings above the property. Like most Topanga stays, we don’t allow non-registered guests on the property without prior consent — please reach out if you’d like to have visitors over, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Other things to note Topanga is a peaceful community. Sound travels easily, and a Night Sky Ordinance is enforced after 10 PM. Please respect quiet hours between 9 PM and 9 AM, and keep outdoor noise minimal at all times. The property sits on a mountain slope with a steep driveway and a series of steps to the front door — including uneven railroad-tie stairs to the lower garden area — and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. We do not allow pets, and smoking or open flames are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property due to Topanga’s High Fire Zone regulations. Absolutely no parties or large gatherings. Please note: life in this rare nature corridor comes with the occasional rustic quirks — power or internet outages, road closures, wildlife interactions are common, including the sound of coyotes at night. These are part of the charm of being immersed in true canyon living, just minutes from the city yet worlds away in feel. Trash is collected on Wednesdays. Gardeners come on Wednesday mornings to maintain the property and plants on the deck areas. Sprinklers come on each morning at 7am for approx. 10mins to water lawn and plants.
