Spacious 8 bedroomed exclusive property providing luxurious accommodation for up to 16 people, ideal for group getaways in a well proportioned, characterful and charming property. The space The House has loads of character with high corniced ceilings, marble fireplaces and shuttered windows. The front rooms were added to the original 'Dales Longhouse' in 1860, along with a tower to the east and Yew trees for shade and shelter. The gardens slope steeply down to Hay Meadows and the river Swale, where fishing is available in season. The main patio, immediately in front of the house, has both fire pit and ice pit tables, outdoor seating and magnificent views. The East patio is where we often place the Hot Tub. The West patio has a barbeque, outdoor table and benches. Guests can partake in various countryside activities such as walking and hiking trails, bird watching, and picnicking in scenic spots. The surrounding area is perfect for those who love the outdoors and wish to explore the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house, private garden and garage, with a private footpath down to the river. Footpaths criss cross the village so there's loads of opportunity to explore our beautiful scenic area. Check out North Yorkshire County Council Definitive maps for Low Row or take the scenic 2 mile walk to Gunnerside pub following the river Swale. Other things to note Bedrooms 3, 5, 6 and 8 can be made as twin beds or zipped together to make large double beds. Please let us know if you have a preference. The 3rd single bed in room 3 is a day bed, complete with cushions and throws to use as a sofa. Please inform us 2 days before your arrival if you'd like it making up with pillows and duvet. We have a 'single trundle bed' which can be placed in whichever you room you choose to enable you to allocate rooms as flexibly as possible. We accept a maximum of 16 adults but can provide 2 travel cots for babies if required. Dogs: We do accept well behaved dogs but ask that they're not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. We have a secure fenced area below the garden where your dogs are welcome to roam. Please let us know if you plan to bring a dog.
