This home belonged to my grandmother and has loads of personality. It has been recently updated while still preserving its charm. Fast internet, new AC, all the necessities in the kitchen, new bedding, and a relaxing outdoor space! The location is perfect. Walk to the best the area has to offer or spend the day just 1 mile away at the beach (parking pass included) or unwind and relax on the deck or patio and enjoy a gorgeous view of the Drift Roses when in season. Cheers to making memories! The space located in the heart of Lower Village Kennebunk, close to all the area has to offer while still providing a sunny retreat with a relaxing outdoor space. The location is an easy 5 minuet walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. This eliminates paying for parking downtown. Also nice sidewalks to provide a safe walk to the beach just 1 mile away, or take advantage of the included Beach pass when its needed for Kennebunk Beaches only (can not be used in neighboring townes). I have beach towels, Sunscreen, chairs, Beach Umbrella and cooler for my guests to use. With space for 3 cars in the paved driveway, The front yard/garden, deck, and sea shell patio area are all included in this rental as your private space. I may need occasional access to the garage or the yard just to do maintenance such as mowing and tending the plants. But I try to coordinate this for when my guests are out enjoying other activities. I also provide a variety of necessitys you may have forgotten or don't want to travel with such as shampoo/soap and a hair dryer and of course towels. I also try to keep the kitchen stocked as well with spices and olive oil and fresh local ground coffee! Things to keep in mind! THIS RENTAL DOES NOT INCLUDE A WASHER AND DRYER FOR GUEST USE. However the Village Laundromat is mere steps away in the Village Marketplace plaza across the street. also NO DISHWASHER. As it's an older home, the stairs to the second floor are steeper then mondern day stairs. Bedrooms are on the second floor as well as a full bathroom. there are no tubs, just showers. I welcome children however at this time I don't offer any special child safety equipment such as baby gates, cabinet locks, booster seat or stroller. You are welcome to bring whatever you need to provide a safe experience for your family. The one thing i did just recently purchased is a Pack -n-Play. please let me know if you would like this to be available for your stay. (Available by request only) .I would provide a clean fitted sheet for it. Things such as cleaning supplies are kept in the entryway where the door can be shut to keep little ones out. Cable TV is NOT available But the internet is very fast and there are streaming services on the Fire TV equipped with Alexa remote for easy searching. My Prime is available for guest use at no charge or log into your Netflix or other streaming service. BUT PLEASE DON'T MAKE PURCHASES ON MY ACCOUNT! The home features New AC units in each bedroom and a larger unit in the living room downstairs. Last years guests reported that this worked very well to keep the space comfortable. I have also been making upgrades as I can afford to with new Beds, rugs, bedding, some fresh paint and wall treatments. The upstairs Bathroom had a makeover! As a third generation Kennebunk native I am just so proud to continue my Grandmother's legacy by welcoming guests to a home she worked very hard for and loved dearly. Guest access Guests have the entire house to themselves, however, the attic, above the garage and basement are restricted areas. please also refrain from going into the back of the garage where lawnmower and other maintenance items are kept. Items that are included in this rental for guest use are kept in the front portion.
