Kokanee Lodge

Kokanee Lodge is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The deck has stunning views of Huntington Lake and it is a short 2 mile drive to China Peak ski resort. Summers can be spent witnessing sailing regattas, fishing, kayaking, and hiking in the Kaiser Wilderness. Winters are for skiing, snowmobiling, and sitting by the fire. There are two seasonal convenience stores within walking distance and the Lakeshore Resort with its restaurant and bar are also easily accessible. The space (Note: the fourth bedroom listed is actually a loft) We supply a few days worth of toilet paper but if you are staying for longer than that you will need to bring some of your own supplies. Other things to note Please note: Driving time to Mammoth Mountain is 7 hours and 45 min. Our favorite short hike in the area is Rancharia Falls. Check it out! https://californiathroughmylens.com/rancheria-falls Renters should note that Edison (the power company) schedules power outages during the day occasionally. If possible we will notify our guests of the inconvenience. Renters should note that Kokanee Lodge has no garbage service. The dumpster located in the parking area as you enter is NOT ours and you should NOT use it under any circumstances. You must take all your garbage with you when you leave. We have two kayaks that are available for use upon request. Guests should treat kayaks as if they are their own. Transporting the kayaks to the beach should be done by carrying them (NOT by dragging them). They should not be left on the beach unattended and guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage. We do not have cable, however we have an Apple TV and good WiFi so you can easily access Netflix, Hulu, or whatever other movie viewing platform you prefer.
