The space This bright and sunny home was designed for families to enjoy each other and yet have quiet times as well. We take enormous pride when guests come to visit and have decided to share the home with others when we are not using it. We ask you to treat our home with the respect that you'll see it deserves. Please NOTE: there is NO CABLE service at the house. The two Smart TVs have Wifi access and we are providing Firesticks for each TV. Guest access The home is 1 mile from the center of Kingfield, a quiet Western Maine Mountains town, with most necessities you'll need: groceries, gas, restaurants, drug store, and hardware store. Kingfield also boasts the Stanley Museum and the High Peaks Artisans Guild. Other things to note Nearby Activities: WINTER: Take the kids sledding on Kingfield’s Gilmore Hill, just south of Kingfield center, on Rt 27. Or for you skiers and riders, Sugarloaf Mountain is just 15 miles away and has some of the best skiing and riding New England has to offer. If you prefer Nordic skiing, the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is just before the main Sugarloaf entrance. For snowmobilers, the access to the trail system is just a little over a mile from the house. There is plenty of parking at the house to accommodate up to 4 snowmobile trailers. SPRING/SUMMER/FALL: The Carrabassett Valley Trail System, perfect for the mountain biking enthusiast, is 20 minutes from the house. There are many options for hiking in the area. The Maine Huts and Trails system is within 15 minutes of the house. White-water rafting is available in Bingham and West Forks, 40 and 60 minutes from the house.
