People who are new to Austin with a job or full-time college students are preferred. You may be working and looking for your ideal space or home so my home is a great short-term solution. I work full-time from home so you must work outside the home most of the day or be a full-time student gone all day. I have two friendly, loveable senior Yorkies who are clean, do not shed, and love my guests. Please have a car. The space I keep my home clean and neat. I take care of the house while you maintain your bedroom and bathroom, and if you cook, keep the kitchen/fridge clean. I have a bedroom for you that is good for privacy and relaxation. The room is for one person only. It has a full-sized bed. You will have your own bathroom. It is a Jack and Jill layout so one shower in the middle. I will provide a few toiletries to start. I have bath towels and sheets you can use but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. There is a closet in your bedroom. There is a washer/ dryer in the garage and wireless Internet in the house. There is a flat-screen tv in your room for local television and Netflix if you have an account. There is a patio to sit in or grill outside. Large driveway for parking your car/truck on the right side. I have a Security alarm and Security cameras outside. We are 5 min. by car to major freeways. 20 min. or less to downtown. Bus stop one short block away. Metro Rail is a 5 min. drive to take you downtown. Lots of food places and microbreweries within five minutes. The Domain shopping center is 5 min. away. The YMCA gym is 5 min. away. I can get you a guest pass for one visit. A grocery store is 5 min. away. I have lived in Austin for 15 years. so can offer many suggestions on things to do. All utilities are included in your price. Guest access You will have keyless entry with a door keypad and code. You have access to your room, your bathroom, the shower, the washer and dryer in the garage, and the kitchen. You will have access to the full kitchen, stove, refrigerator, utensils, dishes, cooking pans, and coffee maker. There is no storage for your things in my garage. All things must fit in your room. Please only bring a laptop or computer, clothes, toiletries, etc. No furniture. The room is fully furnished. If you have a bike, bring a cover for it. There is room in the backyard for it but it will be outside. During your stay I have lived in Austin for over 15 years. so I can fill you in on activities in the city, ways to meet people, etc. I belong to many social and business networking groups. While not fluent, I do speak and understand Spanish. I need you to work full-time outside the home or be a full-time student and have a car. It is a small home and I work from home full-time. While I am friendly and social, I respect your privacy. Other things to note No overnight guests, please. You can have visitors with permission. The pups will not go into your room unless you allow them. No smoking of any kind or vaping in or outside the house. No pets. No children. No loud noise after 11 pm.
