The space Occupancy in House - 2 Guests Additional Sleeping Accommodations in Private Theater – 3 Guests Escape from the bustle of the city to the serenity of a gorgeous, 7-acre estate located in a lovely neighborhood just outside Lake Worth, TX (on the far west edge of Fort Worth); where you can retreat, relax and revive in true country-style luxury. This rustically-elegant ranch house is a true gem, nestled on a white-fenced property secluded amidst oak trees and naturally manicured grounds. You will delight in beautiful views of rolling, scenic acreage from every window-filled spot in the house. Enjoy coffee, cocktails or dining on the front veranda overlooking a lovely meadow and natural pond with birds and wildlife. The rental area is comprised of two separate structures: A 1500-sq ft. custom-built home, designed by acclaimed Fort Worth architect, Weldon Turner, with hand-poured, colored-glass inset windows accenting its thick Granbury stone walls, wood floors, and 20’-high wood ceilings with huge, rough-honed, wooden beams. The main house comfortably sleeps two in a queen-size bed in the large master bedroom, which opens onto a beautiful flagstone patio. Enjoy cooking in our incredible, open, gourmet kitchen, with commercial gas stove and convection oven, dishwasher, Sub-Zero fridge, outdoor infrared BBQ and separate electric smoker; or, have gourmet meals prepared for you by our local chef and served for your convenience or entertaining needs. The second building is a ridiculously cool, 700-sq ft. free-standing, private theater, where you can watch TV, select from a wide variety of DVD’s and workout videos, or listen to music as loud as you like! This plush entertainment center seats 8 in chairs and up to 4 on the sofa AND CAN NOW ACCOMMODATE UP TO 3 ADDITIONAL OVERNIGHT GUESTS, with a full-size sofa bed and an auto-inflate twin-bed air mattress that rises up off the floor. It is acoustically-insulated with 15’ movie screen, surround sound, a wet bar, and a guest bath; making it optimal for your viewing and listening pleasure, entertaining, meetings, presentations, AND NOW ADDED GUESTS. Just a few of the house’s other special amenities include a signature-style great room offering an integrated dining and living room experience (with extra-tall French doors that open onto the front veranda - fabulous for entertaining), fireplace, a separate sitting library, 2 large screen TVs (in addition to the movie screen at the theater), large walk-in shower and oversized tub in the master bath, plenty of closet space, and a guest baths’ in both the house and the theater. (Please note that the jets in the master bathtub do not work, the water runs very slowly from the faucet and there is some chipping in the enamel.) Our guests take pleasure in having nature just steps outside the door, where two flagstone patios provide relaxing views, and where the outdoor dining settings can be enjoyed. The Oak Mill Estate is less than a mile from public beaches, picnic areas and boat ramps on Lake Worth, and just 2-1/2 miles from Eagle Mountain Lake. The onsite grounds offer plenty of places to park boats, jet skis, 3-wheelers, RVs / travel trailers (power hook up only) and horse trailers. Located just 2-minutes from the ultra-premium, boutique, Texas winery, Light Catcher Winery & Bistro, and upscale Mexican cuisine at La Choza Mexican Grill. Just 5-minutes from great pizza and the best taco truck you’ll ever eat at! Only 10-minutes from downtown Lake Worth where just about anything you might need is available (including a Starbucks and 24-Hour Fitness). A mere 15-20-minutes from downtown Fort Worth, with its vibrant nightlife and celebrated attractions such as The Kimbell, The Modern and The Amon Carter Art Museums, Bass Music Hall, Will Rogers Coliseum, the famous Fort Worth Stockyards, and (in the other direction) Texas Motor Speedway. In 45-minutes or less, you can be kick’n it at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Texas Ranger Ballpark, Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, Lone Star Park, or Ripley’s Believe it or Not Wax Museum in Arlington, to mention just a few. Smoking is NOT allowed inside either of the buildings --- Pets in the house can be discussed. There will be a $50 per pet fee. NO pets allowed in the private theater. --- Parties or Special Events on the property require prior arrangements with the owner and possibly additional fees. There is an onsite property manager, for your convenience. Other Local Attractions: It is a 15-minute drive to the town of Weatherford, where you can enjoy antique shopping, quaint restaurants, 1st Monday trade days, the annual Peach Festival and the annual Frontier Days Rodeo. Watch an Indy or Nascar race at the Texas Motor Speedway 28 miles away....you can avoid a lot of the traffic taking the back roads. And, don't miss the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, which is just down the road. Enjoy canoe tours, bison feeding hayrides, nature hikes, photography workshops and so much more...check their website for a calendar of events. ROOM FOR ADDED GUESTS - The private theater can now accommodate up to 3 additional guests with a full-size sofa bed and an auto-inflate twin-bed air mattress that rises up above the floor. The theater has a guest bath, a wet bar, and a small refrigerator. There is an additional charge for extra guests. Other things to note There are now sleeping accommodations for 3 additional guests in the private theater. The manager will provide you with a list of places that you might not find on your own for good local dining. Very close to Lake Worth's lake and parks, and Eagle Mountain Lake.
