Welcome to this 3 bedroom private unit which is part of a century-old farmhouse. This place, although remodeled recently, was designed to maintain its rustic, farmhouse roots. This is NOT a luxury suite. This place has NYC character. Only 30 minutes to Times Square, Penn Station, Central Park and Madison Square Garden. Local attractions are Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Forest Park, and Rockaway Beach. The space This place is a basement within a one-family house. It was renovated to create a rustic, rural feeling. Throughout the unit you will find lots of brick, wood, exposed pipes and metal. Expect to hear the character of a 100 year old house: footsteps (it's a basement), water running, heating pipes and crickets. It is generally quiet and peaceful, but you can still hear New York City on some nights. It is a safe neighborhood. You will have the entire unit to yourselves. The host lives on the floor above, in case anything needs to be attended to. There is one smart tv with streaming in the living room along with Bluetooth soundbar for better audio. Guest access There is a Parking space available for 1 car in the driveway. There is also street parking. Public transportation is convenient and fast. You will find the J/Z/A/E trains close by. Buses are also running at all hours. I strongly recommend using a subway transit app if you are using public transportation. The laundromat and supermarket are a 5 minute walk away. Other things to note There is only ONE large Portable AC unit (14000 BTUs) in the living room used to cool the place. There are no separate air conditioners in the bedroom because they cannot fit in windows, however as a basement which is partially below ground, it remains cooler and less humid than usual. There are dehumidifiers in each room along with fans. There is only room for 5 at the dining table. with some furniture movement, 6 can be tightly seated if needed.
