The Fern is a luxury two-storey holiday cottage near Newark-on-Trent. The stylishly refurbished annexe is dog-friendly and sleeps five with a super king and twin bedroom, plus a comfy sofa bed in the lounge. Enjoy private parking and your own garden with the hot tub and barbeque, as well as access to our nine-acre glamping field. The cottage is eco-friendly with solar powered heating and has a large kitchen and dining space. There’s a wheelchair accessible entrance and downstairs bathroom. The space Kitchen and dining: The Fern has a modern, open-plan kitchen with a five-person dining table and underfloor heating. NO GUEST SERVICE FEES! as all AirBnB fees absorbed by the host. Appliances include a dishwasher, coffee machine, oven and hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. Enjoy a free welcome box including coffee pods, tea and biscuits. We can arrange food hampers and a stocked mini-bar on request for an additional fee. Lounge: The cosy lounge has games, a smart TV and comfy sofas, one of which opens out into a sofa bed. Bedrooms: Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a super king bed that can be made into two singles and the second with twin beds. There’s a sofa bed in the lounge to accommodate a fifth guest. Bathroom: The Fern has a modern downstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower ideal for guests with mobility issues. Garden: Enjoy a private garden accessed from the lounge through French doors. This peaceful oasis has a deck with your own personal Tuff Spas hot tub, as well as two seating areas and a barbeque. The enclosed garden is perfect for young kids and dogs and has a lockable gate that opens onto our nine-acre glamping field with young apple orchard, bee hives and woodland walk. Parking and facilities: We offer private off-road parking for up to three cars with access to an EV charger for a small fee. The cottage has WiFi and a smart TV, as well as solar powered underfloor heating in the kitchen and additional panel heaters. Location: The Fern is located on our family-run glamping site, BrackenXcapes. We're just a 10-minute drive from the historic market town of Newark-on-Trent and a short walk to the River Trent. Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood, the National Trust Site Clumber Park and Newark Showground are all on our doorstep. Nottingham is a 45-minute drive from our site and Lincoln is just 20 minutes away. There are three local pubs nearby within easy walking distance. Guest access Trips to Newark are either by Bus from North Muskham or car with ample parking in the town. Lincoln City itself is also an easy drive away. Trains from Newark to Nottingham, Lincoln or further afield are available. We are just 1hr 25 mins from Kings Cross station London.
