The Old Kings Head
The Old Kings Head
Description
The Old King's Head was originally a pub and hotel. It is now a Board Games Cafe with a 3 bedroomed maisonette above. It is a grade II listed Georgian building however, there has always been a pub on this site dating fromTudor times. We have lovingly restored the whole building over the last 5 years from a derelict shell. The interior has a high finish while retaining some original features including medieval timbers in the kitchen. Fantastic south facing views to the sea and RNLI boathouse. The space You access the maisonette (which is above a Board Games Cafe, originally a pub for several hundred years) through your own front door. On the first floor you will find spacious rooms with high ceilings - the kitchen/diner with a table that comfortably seats 8 and utility room, a cloakroom and a large living room with wood burner, this room is south facing to the sea. The second floor has three double bedrooms and a full size bathroom with roll top iron bath and shower plus a wet room en-suite off the master bedroom. About the area: The maisonette is nestled in the heart of Hastings Old Town, this charming location sits in the picturesque valley between West Hill—with its historic castle ruins dating back to 1066—and the dramatic East Hill cliffs, part of Hastings Country Park.
