Charming Victorian

The furnishings are Victorian-modern and beautifully accent the high ceilings, tall windows, and lovely wood trim throughout the home. For family-friendly stays, check out our other AirBNB listings: “Breathtaking Blacksmith Bungalow,” and the “Exquisite Log Cabin.” The space The original 350-acre property was owned by George Carney, best known for his Memoryville, USA car museum in Rolla, Missouri. 5½ miles from town on State Route E, George created a unique mining town to serve as a movie set and to host artisans, craftsmen, and farmers to sell and market their products. The beauty of the 53-acre wild flower filled property is breathtaking. See deer, butterflies, wild turkey, and armadillos. The large front porch overlooks the cedar and oak forest where gorgeous sunrises and sunsets await. On your porch swing, listen to the evening sounds of owls, crickets, and croaking frogs. Stroll at night and gaze on the wonder of a sky filled with stars. We are 36 miles from Fort Leonard Wood and 15 miles from Fugitive Beach! The gorgeous Victorian is very near our elegant, new Pavilion. The Pavilion is never in use by anyone else when our AirBNB guests are present. A short walk away will see a gorgeous deck on the water’s edge. The solitude and beauty by the lake is memorable. Stroll through the interesting Village. On the far end of the Village is our Blacksmith Bungalow, a child- and pet-friendly three-bedroom AirBNB home. The Victorian offers an Aquasana Water Filtration system and the Air Scrubber (created by NASA) offers state-of-the-art indoor water and air quality. Towels and linens are washed using the Laundry Pro system (no soaps or fragrances). Pets are permitted so long as guests follow our strict “Pet Policy.” PET POLICY: Guests may bring one pet so long as the following rules are followed: 1. Pets are not allowed on beds or bedding. 2. Pets must be kenneled at all times when guests are not present. 3. Pets must be accompanied by owner and kept on a leash when outside. 4. Pets are not permitted on the front lawn at any time. 5. Guests must clean up after their pets and dispose of any waste in the garbage cans provided behind the privacy fence behind the Victorian. Guest access Guests are free to hike the property and explore the Village which was designed to replicate a turn-of-the-century Midwestern mining town. Please do not enter other buildings without permission. Other things to note The kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes and cookware you will need. Spices, oil, plastic wrap, foil, and other basic necessities are available. We start you off with coffee and coffee supplies, but you might want to bring your own coffee to use in the drip coffee maker.
