The owners have kept the home as true to original as possible while ensuring quality comforts. The airy living room boasts ample seating around a 43” 4K UHD Smart TV. The beachy décor recalls the ocean and the large windows let the California sun in. Just beyond the living room lies a newly remodeled kitchen and a cozy dining table that seats two (family style dining may be found outdoors). White cabinets offer plenty of storage, and new appliances include a microwave, gas range, oven and a French-door refrigerator. The kitchen is fully equipped for even the most discerning home-chef. The first bedroom has a queen bed with stylish linens, a double-door closet and cloth lounge chaise. The second bedroom includes a trundle bed with two twin beds, double-door closet, and an adorable sea animal theme. French doors lead to the third bedroom or office space, furnished with a click clack sleeper sofa, which folds down to sleep one additional person (bedding provided for all sleeping areas) and a comfy desk work/study space. A roomy full bathroom down the hall has a tub/shower combination. The backyard is a large, gorgeous, and refreshing private oasis. The yard is bursting with palm, lush bushes, and a finely groomed grass lawn. Lounge chairs offer a place to relax and soak up some rays, and a covered area is available for the non-sun worshipers in your party. Have dinner outdoors at the dining table (seats 4) -- the gas grill is nearby. LOCATION With the beach literally steps from your door (5th house from the sand) and the grocery store an easy bike trip away, this quintessential California beach cottage makes your SoCal vacation as carefree as it could be. Take a deep-sea fishing day trip with Ventura Sport Fishing, 2 miles away, or catch your own dinner by fishing off the local pier (supplies are available at Eric's Tackle Shop, 1.6 miles away). Visit the quaint towns of Ojai or Santa Barbara within a 30-minute drive, or stay local and explore downtown Ventura, accessible via the trolley or a 5-minute drive. There's much to be had right in the neighborhood!
