Welcome to the Triple R Retreat, named for our three Golden Doodles Riley (2009-2020), Rudy, Roxy and Rigley. The Triple R is a classic Maine Cottage that sits on the banks of Crystal Pond in beautiful Washington, ME. The Triple R was purchased in 2019 and updated inside with fresh paint, flooring and decor. Includes two bedrooms and a bathroom, a full kitchen, living room and a screened in porch with a full size day bed. The owners live next to this cottage. This is a great place to relax! While we have painted and updated decor, this is still a classic Maine cottage. It is rustic with modern amenities. The water is lake drawn, which is suitable for everything with the exception of drinking. We provide 4 gallons of water. Please bring extra for drinking and cooking. Full access of property including private dock with a ladder into the water. Guests have full access to the cottage with the exception of the basement area. In the summer, we live next to the cottage. We are available for any urgent requests, but don't plan on bothering you during your stay. Washington is a quiet town that has a wonderful General Store in the village for pizza, grocery items, ice and beer and wine! Union is about 15 minutes away and had a Dollar General and a small grocery store, laundry facilities and a couple of restaurants. The pond is very clean and quiet and because it is just under 100 acres there aren’t many boats. Jet Skis are not allowed on this pond. It is the perfect pond for kayaking and canoeing. Maine Sport in Camden rents kayaks and paddle boards. There is no public transportation in this area. We are very rural, which makes it so wonderful! The cottage is located on a private drive with very little traffic. This cottage is the last one on the lane. Crystal Pond is a very quiet area with just three cottages on our road. We ask that you go slow on the road as it is one lane and you may meet an oncoming vehicle.
