The lake is characterized by majestic rock formations, submerged weed beds, rocky shorelines, and abrupt under water drop offs. Canoeists and kayakers will enjoy Hungry Lake’s peaceful waters. A large sand beach in a secluded cove at the east end of the lake is an ideal place for a picnic and a day of swimming. The space The Beaver is a comfortable 2 bedroom cottage. A private deck with 360 view of water. This fully equipped cottage includes fire pit, satellite TV, and charcoal BBQ. Although there is wifi , it is limited. Cottages are clean and well maintained. Other things to note Famous for its Bass and Northern Pike, Hungry Lake is a fisherman's paradise almost 5kms long and 1 1/2kms wide. The waters have been stocked with Lake Trout and many successful catches are being made. For the adventurous, a 10mins portage, along well-marked trails with take you to Superb fishing at Mink or Rock Lake (Boats available for these lakes). Over half of the shoreline on Hungry Lake is unoccupied Crown Land- open for nature lovers to hike and explore. A large sand beach with excellent swimming at the east end of the lake is ideal for all-day picnics. Hungry Lake is suitable for canoeing and the area abounds with birds and wild life for the patient nature lover. Boat Rentals and docking are available for a fee.
