A beautiful period townhouse in Lincoln’s historic Cathedral Quarter, just off Steep Hill and moments from Cathedral, Castle and Bailgate. Inviting, meticulously kept and comfortable, it’s a real home-from-home and perfect base for a city break. Ideal for guests who want the privacy and peace of an entire, well‑equipped house in an unbeatable location. Wonderfully central, yet calmer and more private than you’d expect, with views of the cathedral, city and the cobbled street below. Guest access You’ll have access to the entire house and private patio during your stay. Getting in You can self-check-in any time after 3pm, using a key safe on the door. You will be provided with details after booking Parking (please read) For such a central location, arrival is refreshingly straightforward. Being just off Steep Hill means it’s typically quiet for loading/unloading. We’re also very close to Castle Square car park and the nearby residents’ permit zones (a short walk). You can stop briefly right outside the house to unload and collect the visitor permit on arrival. With the visitor permit you can also park in Castle Square carpark overnight (5pm–9.30am) and all day Sunday—please move to a residents’ space at other times. Guest with mobility issues: This is a period townhouse with stairs. The Cathedral Quarter is also hilly (We are at the top of Steep Hill - it's really steep!). Most guests love the location, but it may not suit anyone with limited mobility. Other things to note Neighbourhood highlights You could not be more central to Lincoln’s historic centre. Cathedral, Castle, Bailgate and Steep Hill are steps away. Views & atmosphere From the upper floors you’ll get a real sense of space, with open views over Lincoln and the characterful cobbled streets, as well as magnificent veiws of the cathedral from the back of the house. Dogs welcome Well-behaved dogs are welcome, by arrangement. Please note there is no garden, only a paved patio, so dogs will need walks to nearby green spaces. Quiet neighbourhood We’re on a quiet cobbled street with neighbours close by, so the house isn’t suitable for parties and we ask guests to keep outside noise down after 10pm. Sounds (Cathedral bells + occasional city-centre life) We’re tucked just behind Castle Square in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter - usually very quiet and peaceful. You’ll hear the Cathedral bells (a favourite for many guests). Parking (park up & explore) We provide a visitor parking permit. The real joy of this house is its unbeatable location. Once you’ve unloaded right outside the house - very easy - and parked up, you can forget the car because the Cathedral, Castle, shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are all an easy walk away. Taxis and buses are also easy to use.
