Karlsá Lodge

This 3 floor house, built in 1920’s, is located only a few kilometers north of the small fishing town Dalvík. Through the decades it has been a country home and has now been renovated to retain the style and charm of the original structure. It is ideal for big families, couples or friends who want to spend a few days relaxing or exploring the area. The house has an outside hot tub and a sauna with a stunning mountain and ocean view. Meals can be available upon request, please inquire. Guest access Guests will be able to access all areas of the house. Other things to note While the house is family friendly it is located on the road between Dalvík and Ólafsfjordur so we recommend that kids be restricted to the back yard of the house and are aware of "street safety". There are also 2 steep staircases in the house. A gate can be put up to block children from going up or down if this is a concern. The house is not available from late February through mid May as it used for Bergmenn Guides Ski touring programs.
