Portbahn holiday house, close to distillery

Portbahn is at the edge of the village of Bruichladdich. It was our home before moving to Jura, and has many of our things in it. We hope you find it cosy and welcoming; a home from home. The house can sleep and cater for up to 8 guests, with all bedrooms on one level. There is a large garden and deck, a bbq, sunken trampoline and swings. It is a 10-minute walk to the mini shop and distillery, with a coastal path walk providing access to the beach for long walks or a spot of wild swimming! The space Portbahn is a modern, well insulated house, with 3 bedrooms all on the ground floor, one with an ensuite shower room, as well as a family bathroom. The kitchen, lounge, dining and conservatory areas are all open plan with wifi throughout. There is a Smart tv, freesat box, a dvd player, a bluetooth sound system and a large selection of books, dvds & games. A log burning stove and underfloor heating throughout makes the winter stays cosy and warm, and there's a large kitchen table to settle around and enjoy good food, chats and the odd glass of wine / dram of whisky! There is a large, private, fenced garden with a sunken trampoline, child's swing set, outside tables and chairs, as well as a BBQ built into the wall next to the deck. There is plenty of parking on a private driveway. And well-behaved dogs are welcome. We have WiFi Ring doorbells in our properties, pointing outward at the driveway. The camera in the doorbell records and is motion-activated, operating 24/7. We can access the camera via Ring App any time. There are NO cameras inside the property. There is also an upstairs toilet available. The following areas are secured and retained for the use of the owners only; upstairs storage area, the garage, out-houses, some wardrobes and cupboards. We may require access to the out-houses, polytunnel and shed for garden maintenance. We will contact you in advance if this occurs during your stay. Other things to note Small details: * Bed linen and bath towels are provided, but not beach towels. * Electricity and heating are provided free of charge. We charge for extra logs for the wood burning stove, and the first basket is free. * As dogs are welcome at Portbahn, please be aware if you have allergies.
