Please read our full listing before booking :) Feel at home in our spacious primary bedroom on the upper level of our home. 15 minutes to Red Rocks Amphitheater & 25-30 minutes to downtown Denver. Located in Littleton, walking distance to a gorgeous Harriman lake with mountain views, a quick drive to Southwest mall, restaurants, golf courses, disc golf course, REI, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Target, movie theater. We've been Airbnb Superhosts since 2016 and we welcome you! Welcome to our home! ABOUT: Our home was built in the early 1970s and we are currently going room by room to update it and make it new again. Floors are a little squeaky, we do not have AC, and some things are older but despite its quirks, the house is super cute (we love decorating and DIYing!). It's located about 30 minutes from Denver, 15 minutes to Red Rocks Amphitheater AND and a couple minutes walk to a lovely lake with views of beautiful mountains and Red Rocks, as well as some trails! BEDROOM: - Your room is the primary bedroom on the upper level of the home with attached private bathroom with a standing shower. - The room is spacious and has a sliding glass door that usually goes out to the deck but is inoperable ** and the deck is currently out of commission for a rebuild late summer/early fall**. Because of the sliding door and the bathroom window, the room gets lots of indirect sunlight most of the day. - Enjoy the comfortable queen size bed with soft sheets. Feel free to use the luggage rack, the dresser, and hang your clothes in the walk-in closet. There is a full-length mirror in the room as well as a dresser mirror, and a bathroom mirror. - There is a smaller flat-screen TV on the dresser, it’s older and a little slow to load but it is equipped with Amazon Prime and YouTube via a Firestick. Hulu and netflix are available if you want to sign in with your password. OPTIONAL DESK SPACE: - There is a narrow table in the room that can also be used as a desk. We have a chair that we can put in the room if you want to utilize the table as a desk. **Please let us know if you would like the desk chair placed in the room. Otherwise, it will not be in the room so you have more space :) BATHROOM: - In the bathroom, we provide towels, a hairdryer, a handheld clothes steamer, soap, hotel-sized shampoo and conditioner for you. Anything else you need, just let us know! There is a potential for noise outside of the house near the room at times during the day because of our close neighbors who have dogs and also there is a sidewalk that is located just beyond the privacy fence along the length of our backyard that leads to a park area. We also live at the home and enjoy the front/backyard with occasional music. Nothing major just something to note if you or someone in your party are noise sensitive. COMMON SPACES: KITCHEN: - In the kitchen, there is a tea and coffee station available anytime and we usually have dairy-free nut milk in the fridge door. We don’t have a ton of space in our refrigerator because we cook a lot, but will make a little space for you to put some groceries or leftovers. The kitchen is equipped with a Ninja coffee maker, a hot kettle for tea, and basically anything you need to cook with such as a blender, pots, pans, etc. Just let us know if you want to use these and we can direct you! LIVING ROOM: **We have 2 living room areas but currently only one is for use. Please use the UPSTAIRS living room that is located outside of the kitchen and dining rooms while we are renovating areas near the downstairs living room. Both living rooms have fireplaces but unfortunately, they are not currently working. DINING ROOM: We have a nice dining room area upstairs next to the kitchen. Feel free to use it anytime! PARKING: Parking is on the street directly in front of our house. A few things to note: - As with many 1970s build homes in our neighborhood, it’s doesn’t have AC and weather can get warm in spring & summer although evenings & mornings are cool. We have fans and open windows to help but please keep this in mind as we can’t control the weather :) - We live in a very residential neighborhood - at various times one could hear neighbors in their backyards, dogs barking, mowing of lawns, children playing, cars driving and birds chirping or them pecking at trees (or occasional our house.) - Currently, there is no laundry access as the downstairs is off limits for guests, however, if you have a laundry emergency of some sort, we would be more than happy to assist you with laundry. - DECK IS CLOSED - The deck and our backyard are out of commission while we are renovating/rebuilding the deck. We hope to have this done by late summer/early fall and will update the listing once it is complete. Thanks for understanding! We are chill and happy to have you in our home! (no smoking cigarettes, please!). ** The backyard and deck are out of order while we rebuild the deck** We are currently renovating the downstairs so the washer and dryer are not available unless you have some sort of laundry emergency, we can then assist you. We are here when you need us. We can give you tips on how to get places or where to go. You can message us in the app anytime if we are not around! Most of the time we are working from home on the computer in our offices which are located across the hall from your bedroom, watching tv in one of the living rooms, hanging and listening to music on the patio, outside in the front yard or in our bedroom downstairs. You're definitely free to hang out here, but we have lots of recommendations for those feeling adventurous! Whether you want to hike or ski in the mountains or head downtown Denver for a night on the town, our location is an easy drive to both! You can also choose to stay right in our area because there is so much to see and do within a short drive from our home! We are just 25-30 minutes East to downtown Denver. 23 minutes from Mile High Stadium. 20 minutes West to the mountains to downtown Golden and 15 minutes to Red Rocks Amphitheater. 15-18 minutes to Historic Downtown Littleton and Breckinridge Brewery. We are close to most anything you could want! You can also drive 1.5 hours, depending on traffic, to go skiing, snowboarding or hiking! We are a short 5-10 minute drive to coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, a movie theater, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, Super Target, Costco, REI, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Southwest Plaza Mall. We are close to many golf courses and a disc golf course with views! As well as a beautiful lake and park located inside of our neighborhood, just a couple minutes walk from the house where you can enjoy walking or running the 1.7 mile trail around the lake or sit on one of the benches to soak in all the gorgeous views of the mountain foothills, Red Rocks, or bird watching. Additionally, you can drive 15 minutes to Lakewood's Downtown Belmar for Cinemark movie theater, shopping, spas, restaurants such as Lady Nomad (beach themed Mexican restaurant), GQue BBQ, Chuy’s Tex Mex, Wasabi Sushi, T-Street Roadhouse, Ted's Montana Grill, PF Changs, and Stack Subs. To get around the area you can rent a car or take an uber or Lyft. Keep in mind that Uber/Lifts are very slow in and around Denver now so give ample time to book because it could take 10-20 minutes for them to even arrive to pick you up. This varies from time to time and day to day. You can get amazing daily car rental deals on the TURO app which is essentially the Airbnb of car rentals. For public transportation, there are some bus routes nearby. You can search maps for these options. We normally respond to reservation requests as fast as possible. Please make sure your profile is COMPLETELY filled out before you request a reservation. This way we can get to know you more and can accept reservation requests much faster! Thanks! ***Please note a few things: Our bedroom is downstairs but both of our offices are upstairs across the hall from the primary bedroom. But you don't ever have to worry about disturbing us if you are watching TV or listening to music. As we mentioned, the house is older so you may hear some light floor squeaking and some of the finishes haven't been updated yet. Currently, the house is not equipped with air conditioning so it can be quite warm in spring or summer and due to older windows, the house can feel a little drafty at times in fall and winter. Colorado is known for it's fickle weather so it can be nice and warm in the day and chilly in the evenings so keep that in mind when you pack. If it’s chilly, we have lots of extra blankets though and the weather is starting to warm up! But Colorado weather is also crazy and it can still snow at anytime, even in late May so always best to be prepared. ***The house across the street is being renovated and will have various construction going on for the next couple months. So please pardon their mess :) Lastly, because we have trees all around the front and back of the house, you may occasionally see spiders or similar from time to time. This is just the nature of living in Colorado. We don't give refunds if you happen to see a spider or other type of bug anywhere in or around the house. We do spray both the inside and outside of the home for bugs, but things happen :) _______________________________ A little about us: We've been hosts since 2016 and have enjoyed having guests in our homes in Brooklyn - NY, Lakewood - CO, and now Littleton. We bought this house just before the pandemic shut down and have been working towards improving/ beautifying the house when and where we can. Projects have been challenging but rewarding.
