(There is NO kitchen, no real bathroom etc. ) In Fall & Winter is cool so you will need warm clothing and sleeping bag. Currently, we have left our winter insulation up so you cannot unzip the windows. It can be very hot inside during the summer days. There is an roofed outdoor classroom attached that you can sit under. There is no garbage please pack in/out the garbage you make. You MUST take all of your garbage with you. Thank you for this. Our bathroom has a composting toilet (it is a bucket with sawdast but has a real toilet seat). We will show you how to use it. It is a requirement that you empty your toilet waste into the compost on exit. There is a fox who lives on the property and we like to think she is our friend. We ask for everyone to respect her area and not to forage on our land. There is crown land near by if you would like to adventure. The property is used for a Forest School during the year. You can sleep on the padded floor or Cots are available on request. We have 4 cots if needed. Sleeping bags are necessary. Many sleep on the floor as it is soft. A bundle of firewood will be given, extra can be purchased for an extra cost of $7 per bundle. There is no electricity, but we have small twinkle lights and a few solar powered lanterns in the yurts. Please bring a headlamp or other light source :) Please take care with all food as there is wildlife. Pick up any crumbs that you may have dropped on the earth or in outdoor classroom it will help keep the animals wild and free. Feeding them teaches them not to practise being scavengers and can be harmful on their tummies. It also helps to cut down on mice, squirrels and porcupines :) In addition, we offer Soundhealing, Breathwork and Forest Therapy. You can book on Rootsandbranchesfs .com website.
