Guest suite in Los Angeles

The studio is a large single room with beautiful concrete floors. It as a zen like vibe. The space combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a modern and minimal design. Its a custom built house that my wife and I designed. We moved into the house early 2017 and been working on getting the studio ready to rent on air bnb. It has a kitchenette. Flatscreen with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO now and DVD player. A stereo and Vinyl player and wifi is in the room. We usually get up at 7:00 and leave the house by 8:00 or 8:30. In the evening Yoki is home by 5:30 or 6:00pm and goes to bed around 8:00pm. On the weekends we are in and out. The way the house is constructed sound travels between the floors. It’s possible you can hear steps or sound from above. That is the nature of our place. Out of the many guests we had it has never been an issue. But we want to point it out as two guests also mention it in their reviews. You have access to your private studio with separate entrance and deck with fire pit and grill. There is free parking on Baxter street 60’ down the hill from the entrance to or up on North Alvarado street. Its a safe neighborhood. The unit is on the lower hill side. Its 10 steps to get to the unit. Please let us know if you need help with your luggage. We are generally available and love to meet and interact with our guests. We can recommend restaurants, bars, things to do with kids etc. We can assist finding the things you need and love to do. The house is right on the cusp of Echo Park and Silver Lake, with great restaurants, bars, and cafes close by. The immediate neighborhood is super chilled, quiet, and safe and home to beautiful vistas. A few cafes and liquor store and elysian park are in walking distance. Otherwise car, bike or Uber are the best way to get around. There is a bus stop 300' from the house. We provide all general home amenities. There is a coffee maker, plenty of pods, The kitchenette is fully stocked and ready to use. There is a toaster/ grill, The AC/ heater is controlled by the main house. We usually have it set to 68-75 degrees. If it needs adjusting please let us know. There is also an additional mini heater and fan in the closet. Please note that Baxter street is extremely steep and in case you have physical limitations we don’t advise to stay with us. Walking up Baxter and parking can be a challenge with physical limitations. Other things to note We provide all general home amenities. While it has its own entrance, its own deck and total privacy... sound does travel. We have young kids and we all get ready for school between 7:00-8:00 am. So there might be some sound traveling during the week. On weekends kids usually sleep in and don't get up before 8:00 or 9:00. During the day we are usually gone. Also note that we do live on a steep hill. If you are elderly and with physical limitations this place may not be for you. It has incredible views in return. Parking: we don't offer on site parking.
