A little over a mile from the Oceanfront area at 47th Street. The Oceanfront spans from 1st Street to 81st Street. You are welcome to use our pool when open (it is not open now). The pool slide has been removed. This over sized bedroom has a king bed and a daybed with a pull-out trundle bed. There is a private bathroom next to this room. In the room, there is also a mini-fridge, microwave, mini-Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, sink with counter space, and a desk with a mirror. The space Our home is close enough to to the Beach, the Cavalier, the Marriott, but far enough away to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of the Oceanfront for a restful night’s sleep. It’s also great for those attending weddings, graduations, conferences. This room is large and has a king bed, a day bed (that can serve as a couch) with a pull out trundle single bed. I apologize in advance because, although the king bed and daybed will be freshly made for your visit, I am not able to make the trundle bed under the daybed (due to my back and neck injury limitations), but it will have the mattress pad with a cover sheet on it and the bottom and top sheets for it are in the mirrored closet in your bedroom on the right side of the bottom shelf. In the room, there is a mini fridge, a microwave, a mini-Keurig coffee maker, a toaster oven, drawers with dishes and silverware, and a countertop with a bar sink. There is a hair dryer in the third drawer and a tray in the bottom drawer. There is a wall hung TV with cable service. Also, there is a desk with a chair, a small drop leaf table with 2 chairs and a small chair next to the daybed. Your shower and beach towels are on the shelves of the bedroom closet, along with a white First Aid Kit on the top towel shelf next to the fan. This bedroom is on the third floor of our home and provides lots of privacy as you will be the only guest/s on this floor. The bathroom has been completely remodeled with a new marble shower with a herringbone inset and marble floor. It is right outside of your room and is private for your use only. There is a whole house water filter, so the water is safe to drink and easier on your hair. You are also invited to use our in-ground backyard pool when it is open during the summer (it is open now). The pool slide is out of commission. It is available during daylight hours, although not after 8:30 PM, out of respect for my neighbors. This room listing does not include the use of the downstairs’ kitchen, dining and living rooms, or any of the other private rooms. When you first get here, you will ring the doorbell at the front door and when I show you to your room and bathroom, you will be provided with a house key so that you may come and go as you please. Guest access Along with the bedroom (set up like a one bedroom efficiency apartment), you are also welcome to use the pool when it is open (it is not open now) and its deck surround. The pool slide has been removed. The pool is not available after 8:30 PM, out of respect for our neighbors. There is also a half-bathroom on the first floor for your use. This room does not include the use of the first floor kitchen, dining areas or living areas or any of the private rooms. Our neighborhood is an absolutely lovely place to take a walk, as well as on the nearby Boardwalk or just along the beach. I hope you have a nice getaway! When in season, you are welcome to pick figs from our trees and eat to your heart's content! During your stay My husband, Michael, and I live in the home and are usually available if you need us. We provide a small recommended restaurant list and have brochures about our fun city for your perusal. We mostly stay at the other end of the house to give you full privacy. Also, I have a back and neck injury, along with other health issues that require me to rest a lot, so I am usually not hanging around downstairs very often. Other things to note There will not be any other guests on the third floor where this bedroom is and you will be the only users of your bathroom right outside your bedroom door. There are two fireplaces in the home, that will not be in use while you visit (the one in the primary bedroom on the second floor is never used), but the first floor fireplace may leave a lingering smoke odor when it rains from past fires during the winter (when we are closed).
