We invite you to get comfy in our open-concept, playful studio in Berkley’s midst. Bright, inviting with great proximity to UC Berkeley, San Francisco, BART, tourist attractions and restaurants/shops, this gem of a studio provides a joyful retreat amidst the city’s vibrancy. Private deck/ super fast wifi The space This private, top floor apartment of a house overlooks a verdant garden, mature fruit trees and even has a San Francisco view. As you enter the French doors, you will be delighted by the 14 foot high ceilings and spacious feel. The dining area is set to accommodate six guests. The kitchen has a full size fridge, coffeemaker, pans, pots, silverware, microwave, full sized (30 inches wide) 4 burner stove with oven and all the dishes, glasses and more to create a fabulous meal. We also provide oil, spices and some snacks. The living room area has a sectional that opens into a full size bed. There is also a 40" TV for your enjoyment. The comfortable queen bed in the master area, is surrounded by a privacy curtains should you need it and is adjacent to a nook that is great for reading, yoga or playing games. Since I had the pictures taken, I have added a full size mattress in what I call the yoga area- toward the front of the house where there is a blue and green round rug. This allows for more flexibility of sleeping arrangements. Please only three people maximum. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo, toilet and a set of towels for each guest. We want you to be comfortable, so we provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, and hair dryer so you can travel light. You will love watching the sunset with a beverage on the lovely deck, only yours to enjoy. You might want to pick up a few vittles from the farmers' markets that are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays or from the nearby fantastic Berkeley Bowl- 3 blocks up the street or Whole Foods. Among the many restaurants that we recommend in our guest guide, you will also find several fantastic farm to table ones. I've tried to make the space as green as possible. Solar cells power the house with electricity. The water used to wash your linens waters the garden in the back yard- as California has a water shortage. I hope you have been verified by at least one host as that is one of my requirements. Please do not give codes out to anyone who is not a guest on your reservation. We think you will be very pleased at our serene hideaway. Guest access Guests will have the apartment and the top deck to themselves. Guests will share the garden and BBQ. Other things to note The owner lives below so please be mindful of quiet hours. While the space is large, bright and open, please don't run as it creates lots of noise downstairs. This is a scent-free property. We would appreciate it if perfumes were left at home. Thank you!
