The space Welcome to our beautifully decorated two-story townhouse, where every detail is designed to ensure a comfortable and productive stay in Los Alamos. The property is conveniently located close to LANL and downtown, and has off-street parking directly in front of the unit. It also offers an easy exit to Santa Fe! Most of the units in the complex are occupied by LANL employees, offering a safe, family-friendly environment. Whether you're here for work or leisure, our townhouse promises to be a home away from home, where artistic touches and thoughtful amenities combine to create an enjoyable stay. Upstairs, you will find two large bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs, the living room, kitchen, laundry area, and a half bath offer all the comforts needed to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Step outside to the fenced patio from the living room and enjoy the refreshing outdoor space. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking a real meal, including a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, and rice cooker. Feel free to use any extra food left by previous guests, just remember to check the expiration date. In the master bedroom, you'll find a king-size bed, while the second bedroom is equipped with two twin beds, making it ideal for families or groups. We've taken care of all the details, providing bed linens, duvet covers, towels, and extra supplies to ensure your comfort. The washer and dryer in the dedicated laundry area make laundry days a breeze. We care about our guests with sensitivities, and only use fragrance-free, dermatologists and pediatricians recommended laundry detergent for all bedding and towels. We care about your health and environment and try to use "green" cleaning products whenever possible. During the summer months, our portable air conditioners and ceiling fans keep the home comfortable. Ideally situated, the townhouse is within a 5-10 minutes drive from LANL (3.1 miles to TA-3, NSSB), a 3-minute drive to the Smiths grocery store, a 2-5 minutes drive to fitness centers, a 4-minute drive to the Urgent Care, a 7 minutes drive to the hospital, a 5-minute drive to the Aquatic center with an Olympic sized indoor swimming pool. Enjoy walking to everything in our safe neighborhood! Playgrounds, movie theater, library, tennis courts, swimming pool, bus stops and scenic trails are all within walking distance. For your convenience, we've added a keyless digital lock that offers 24 hours check-in. We have created a restful place that you can think of as your home away from home when you’re in Los Alamos. Guest access Guests stay in a private apartment. 24 hours check in. Other things to note LATE CHECK-OUT AND EARLY CHECK-IN Whenever possible we are always happy to accommodate late check outs and early check ins, but unfortunately can not guarantee them ahead of time. Guests are welcome to bring their belongings any time after 11 AM, check-in is at 4 PM. We often allow late check-out for the people with little kids who need to stay for a few more hours, but since we usually have guests checking in on the same day, please clean up after yourself and collect all your belongings outside by 11 AM, when a cleaning service arrives. WiFi and TV The WiFi speed is 30 Mbps. For TV we have Internet Sling TV with 30 cable channels. More channels including HBO can be provided for an additional fee. CHILD SAFETY If traveling with kids, please keep in mind that the apartment is not equipped with additional safety features for toddlers. Stairs do not have a safety gate, and are not safe for toddlers. Outlets are not protected with safety plugs. Windows at the 2nd floor are not child proofed. Apartment is perfect for adults, but please give a thoughtful consideration to all the things above when traveling with little kids. Generally we do not recommend townhouse for kids younger than 5 y.o. OUTDOOR SAFETY When enjoying outdoors, please watch out for the wildlife. Los Alamos is often visited by mountain lions, bears, coyotes and deer. Rattle snakes are common in the area as well. Bears are the frequent visitors in town and they seem to love our trails as much as we do. Please keep an eye on your children and pets playing outside, and keep the doors closed when not in the room. Do not leave trash outside and clean the grill after use. Your food is what bears are after. Be especially aware of the mother bears with cubs.
