Enchanted Hamptons Cottage in NYTimes Garden
I am an artist and have devoted many years to designing the garden and cottage as my own artistic medium. I am honored that both the cottage and garden have been featured in the New York Times, House & Garden, The East Hampton Star, and HC&G Magazine. The space The cottage is truly lovely, inspiring and tranquil — yet only a 5 minute walk to the shops and chic restaurants of Main Street. It is less than a 10 minute walk to both the train station and the Bridgehampton Jitney stop that travels to and from New York City. Located in the back of the property (separated from the main house by roughly 80 ft) this beautiful, quintessential Hamptons cottage sits in gardened surroundings. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, the space and furnishings are clean white, complemented with an array of décor and artifacts from sleek porcelain whites to rustic golds. My goal is to make everything thoughtful, artifactual and simple to create an enchanted space for my guests. The home is supplied a fully-equipped kitchen, dining table, television, washer/dryer and large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The living room boasts vaulted ceilings, an exquisite shell-entrusted chandelier and a sitting area with fireplace. Both bedrooms have queen-size beds, closets and dressers. The private stone patio has a breakfast table that seats four for morning coffee or sunset apéritifs. I welcome you to spend time resting in my garden, which I’ve spent many years cultivating in the French Classical style. You also have your own private garden with reclining chairs behind the cottage. There are plenty of seating options, flowers, fountains, birds, sculptures (and one frog) in my enchanted garden that I look forward to sharing with you. Long-term rental discount Year-round is $85,000 Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) is $58,000 Winter (September 15-May 15) is $33,750 Guest access The cottage is set at the back of the property. You have a private entrance, private breakfast patio and private backyard. A parking space is provided at the entrance of the property. Other things to note The property is most comfortable for two people and can accommodate a maximum of four. With the shrubbery and ponds, the garden is not ideal for young children or pets that run freely or un-contained out of doors.
