Those decorations come down in mid-January, and they are truly a sight to behold, so catch them while you can! Dolly’s Place is one of the few TRULY one-of-a-kind homes in the area. Bright and fun, located just a five minute drive from Dollywood, the Pigeon Forge Parkway, and less than 10 minutes to most Pigeon Forge attractions. Clean, comfortable, and incredibly well stocked, in a great location, and 10 out of 10 dentists agree, we are the BEST HOSTS in the Smokies. Why would you argue with all of those dentists? Literally every room is over the top festive, Christmas trees in every room, and over 100 holiday movies to watch on the projector. This is the FUNNEST place to be during the holiday season! 365 days a year you can fin the following... 🌟 More than 2,000 square feet. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out! 🛏️ Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two living rooms, upstairs bonus room/loft/game room/FUN ZONE with projector screen and surround sound. 🫧 Privacy fenced patio area with hot tub, gas grill AND gas griddle (hibachi anyone?), outdoor dining tables with umbrellas and overhead string lighting, Bluetooth speaker system; upstairs deck with comfy seating overlooking the backyard. 🔥 Large backyard with fire pit, hammocks, and butterfly mural photo op. Flat yard all the way around for playing corn hole, ring toss, ladder ball, bucket golf, croquet, and other outdoor games. (You don't have to bring that outdoor stuff; we've got it waiting for you!) 😴 Sleeps ten comfortably: two king beds, two twin beds, two twin daybeds with trundle beds, all with memory foam toppers and plenty of pillows and blankets. In October we add a collection of Halloween-themed and scary movies, and in November and December, we put out our collection of over 100 holiday movies! 🎮 The distinction of being the Airbnb with more board/card games than any other property in the country - more than 500! Yes, you read that right! More than FIVE HUNDRED. It's the largest game collection in the state of Tennessee! Plus NES Classic (30 games), Super Nintendo Classic (21 games), SEGA Classic (42 games), arcade system (100+ games), foosball, Lincoln logs, 13ft long Lego wall, wooden train set, hundreds of mega blocks, and outdoor games like cornhole, bucket golf, croquet, and ladder ball. What is boredom? Can't find it here! 🧑‍🍳 The BEST stocked kitchen in the Smokies (this is NOT an exaggeration), so you can cook - or not! - during your vacation. An absurd amount of pots and pans, a plethora of small appliances including a KitchenAid mixer, air fryers - yeah, more than one, a four slice toaster AND toaster oven, Ninja blender, FIVE waffle irons, dishes, glasses (including a bunch of retro 80's cartoon glasses, margarita glasses, martini glasses and a martini set, champagne flutes, wine glasses!), coffee mugs. Plenty of silverware, bakeware, kid-friendly plastic dishes and flatware too. Knives that are actually sharp (anyone who has stayed at a vacation rental knows that THAT is unusual!), cutting boards, pot holders, all the things! We also have a big spice cabinet full of the usual spices, spice mixes, non-stick spray, vinegars, hot sauces, oil, soy sauce. Every accessory: spatulas, vegetable peeler, garlic press, measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls in various sizes, anything you can think of, and so much more! Refrigerator with filtered water and ice dispenser. This is NOT your typical sparse cabin kitchen, because sparse cabin kitchens are frustrating, and you aren't supposed to be frustrated on vacation! ☕ Deluxe coffee bar with a coffee maker that can do drip or K-cups, espresso machine with milk steamer, French Press and Chemex/pour over, and a cold brew machine. We provide coffee, coffee pods, filters, sweeteners, a variety of tea too! Caffeinate yourselves to your heart's content! (Or don’t, we’ve also got you covered with decaf and herbal teas!) 🛀 Most cabins MIGHT give you a couple of teeny bars of soap and two drops of shampoo. We've got full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with liquid hand soap, and even baby shampoo! We've also got you covered with plenty of dish soap, dishwasher pods, a brand new sponge for each reservation, plenty of dish towels, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, trash bags, laundry pods, foil, plastic wrap. Y'all, you are on VACATION, this isn't stuff you should be worried about picking up at the store. Now, if you've got your favorites or you are one of those people who goes through a lot of this stuff, or you're staying for a week or more, you may need to supplement what we provide, but the vast majority of our guests do not. 🚗 FANTASTIC location! Be at the Dollywood gate in 5 minutes! You're also 5 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, and two minutes from Veterans Blvd, which can get you past the Pigeon Forge traffic and down into Gatlinburg quickly. We're near a winery, moonshine tastings, the Tanger Outlets, a zillion restaurants, go kart tracks, putt putt, lots of attractions, and you don't have to drive around scary steep mountain roads to get into town. How are you supposed to post stuff on social media and make everyone else jealous of you, if you aren't in a place with great photo ops? 🎵 We're big on DETAILS - because that's what makes this a HOME. Ceiling fans (AND extra fans, for those of you who like being in a wind tunnel or want to make a Beyonce concert moment happen), overhead lights with color and Bluetooth capabilities, USB and USB-C charging stations, hangers, multiple hair dryers and other hair tools, a bin full of "oh no I need this right now and I forgot to pack it" supplies like feminine products, band aids, and other random things. Cleaning wipes for little messes, night lights, and so much more. 🥳 Family stays, friends trips, birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette weekends, sports viewing extravaganzas on the projector, movie marathon weekends, we have hosted all kinds of people, all kinds of groups! 🐣 We know what it's like to travel with kids - we've got three of our own. That's why we've made this place super kid-friendly. (Or maybe it's PARENT friendly?) You'll find a couple of retractable safety gates in the property, and a couple of extra tension gates that you can put up where you need them, playpen-type safety fences for kiddos that need to be corralled, two restaurant-style high chairs, booster seat, infant bathtub, infant play mat, infant swing, Boppy pillow, plastic plates, bowls, cups, flatware, night lights, Pack and Play, step stools, even rubber duckies for the bath! A giant collection of Mega Blocks, a giant pop-it, the list is LONG! We can entertain little ones just as much as the big kids! We decorate with personality and FUN in mind. As one guest put it, "You could stay here for a week and still not see everything there is to see." We're fans of antique stores, estate sales, flea markets, and just picking up fun stuff on our personal travels. We also have a great collection of Dolly Parton books and movies, along with that giant Dolly artwork! We mean it when we say this is a 'home away from home' kinda place. Nothing is more frustrating than traveling to a vacation rental and having to immediately go to a store to stock up on essentials. We provide more than any other property in the area, but should you need anything during your stay, the Parkway is a VERY short drive away, and the only Walmart Supercenter in the county is less than 3 miles away. There's also a (much less busy) Walmart Neighborhood Market a similar distance away, and a Dollar General right around the corner. Both Walmart locations have delivery to our property, and Instacart and Door Dash service our area as well. You'll find our extensive guidebook inside the house, that not only has all the details on how all of the stuff in the house works - from the hot tub to the projector - but it also has our recommendations for things to do around the area. Don't feel like trusting Yelp in a tourist area? We already know the best pizza places and best burger places and the best bang for your buck when it comes to go-karts or putt putt, and if you're venturing into Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we know the most kid-friendly trails and where to catch the GOOD good sunrises and sunsets, and where the leaves are the prettiest. Get ready for themed Christmas trees, and wacky and fun decor! Our family is responsible for decorating more than 100 cabins and private residences in the area for the holidays, so we KNOW that ours is over the top amazing. Please note: our Christmas decorations are admittedly VERY over the top - there are multiple Christmas trees and tons of individual decorative items throughout the property during the holiday season. These can be VERY tempting to little fingers. While we want for you to enjoy the decor, it is your responsibility to make sure the decorations are respected and kept intact. This may not be the best place during the holidays for very small children or people who can't appreciate decorations without being destructive (even if unintentionally) toward them. We provide two wraparound 'fences' and there are baby gates installed in a couple of areas in the property. You know your children - or your group of adults - best, so please be mindful of this when booking during November, December and early January, and understand what you are getting into and what you are agreeing to respect. There are plenty of cabins in the area with minimal or no Christmas decorations, and they may be a better choice for you during the holidays. They aren't nearly as fun, but that also means they have a lot less stuff. Bright and FUN Christmas decorations ALL OVER. That is NOT an exaggeration. Multiple Christmas trees, over 100 holiday movies, Christmas coffee mugs, more than 1,000 ornaments throughout the home! The most unique and FUN place to be during the holidays! You've never seen ANYTHING like it! 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁 This is a family home and it has been used for LOTS of family fun. This is a place for you to get comfortable and enjoy yourself. We've added some upgrades for our guests, but it was originally a real home for a real family, and our extended family still uses this home throughout the year. A lot of laughter, good memories, and warm hugs have happened under this roof, and that's exactly the kind of thing we want to continue happening. If you want a pristine, brand new property, this isn't it. If you want a typical, contrived cabin, covered in bear decor, this definitely isn't it. When it's time to add something or replace something, we try to find the bright or fun version! If you want a solid "home base" to explore the area, in a convenient location in a quiet neighborhood, with comfortable accommodations and lots of extras that most cabin owners don't provide, along with local owners who truly want you to have a good time, this is the place for you. We’re so excited to share this space with you, because the best souvenir from any vacation is happy memories! Guest access Entire home, fenced in patio, and yard. There are a couple of storage closets that are locked up, but the rest of the property is yours to enjoy! Other things to note Absolutely NO PETS. This is not a pet-friendly home. No dogs, no cats, no monkeys, no giraffes. The one exception we make is if you have a pet rock. We'll need to know its name, favorite color, and approximate carbon-dated age prior to allowing it. And you’ve got to keep it crated if you leave the house. Them’s the rules. All rooms are on the main level with the exception of the bonus room, which is up one flight of stairs. The bonus room upstairs has two twin size daybeds with twin size trundles underneath. The outdoor patio is surrounded by a privacy fence. You can access the outdoor patio via a door with an electronic lock or the sliding glass door in the living room. There is enough parking in the driveway for 3 vehicles, up to 5 if you're willing to play Tetris, with room in the grass on the side of the house for more vehicles (or trailers for guests here for Rod Run or bringing motorcycles.) You cannot park on the street itself, as it is just a one-lane residential street, and you cannot park across the street, because that is our neighbor's property. But we have plenty of grass for parking purposes on our own property. The driveway is off a residential street; no crazy mountain roads or steep driveways to contend with. This is a home in a quiet residential area. While we obviously do want you to have a good time, we aren't in the business of upsetting our neighbors, most of whom are permanent residents and have to go to work in the morning. Seriously, if you're coming to the area to get rowdy and loud, this is NOT the property for you. Family and friends getting together and hanging out = totally fine. Birthday celebrations with cake and a cookout = go for it. Friends-giving = cool with us. We get that up to 10 people will make noise; this isn't a library. But REALLY loud music that can be heard in other homes, shouting, anything that disturbs the residents of this neighborhood = this isn't the place for you. Being in the hot tub late at night is absolutely okay, but where we tend to run into an issue is when people decide to be excessively loud in the hot tub late at night, shouting and playing loud music that other residents can hear inside their homes. That's a no go. We like our resident neighbors and we want their peace and quiet to be respected. Maximum of 10 humans. Of any age. TEN MAX.
