Our stunningly beautiful waterfront home is nestled on the shores of Carter’s Creek. A custom designed Acorn Deck House, it features breath taking views of the Creek from every window & room. The well-appointed main floor boasts vaulted ceilings, large Living Room, gourmet Kitchen, main floor Master, & spa type ensuite. The wrap around deck, patios, & gardens, lead to our large beach, & dock for your boat with 8’ MLW! Kayaks, paddle board, fishing & crabbing. A short walk to our charming town. With designer interior, the spacious rooms welcome your entire family, and filled with the ever-changing natural light of the Creek from sunrise to sun set. Relax in our expansive waterfront Living Room, featuring breath taking views, comfortable seating, warming Fireplace, and Granite Wet Bar. Our inviting waterfront "View Room", provides a variety of seating spaces, a library of historical books, and a large tripod telescope to gaze at the passing sailboats and stars in the sky. The cozy Breakfast Room, and lovely Dining Room for 8, are both just off the large gourmet Kitchen well-appointed for all of your cooking needs. We have 4 inviting and comfortable Bedrooms on the main & lower level, with an additional pull out double bed in our Loft, “Work From Home” Den, & 3.5 baths. Spends hours on The Point House’s substantial sunning beach, low tide shelling beach, deep water dock for your boat, enjoying 4 kayaks, a paddle board, yoga mats, fishing rods, and crab pots! The charming and timeless town of Irvington is just a brief walk up the road with fabulous restaurants, fun cocktail spots, shopping, galleries, and museums! The Point House at Huckleberry Point is where generations of family and Virginia’s coastal history meet. Our great-grandfather once tended this land as his orchard and helped shape early Irvington as Virginia’s Commissioner of Game & Fisheries. For over a century, this property has remained in our family—each generation adding new memories to the shoreline. Our Spaces ~ Waterfront Bedrooms ~ Enjoy our large waterfront Master suite on the main floor, including a luxurious Sleep Number King bed, spa inspired Ensuite bath with private large jetted soaking tub for 2, with shower, double sinks, bidet and provided essential oils. The private balcony awaits you from sunrise to sunset with picturesque views across the water. You'll find 3 waterfront bedrooms downstairs, all with shaded patios. Featuring the Queen bedroom, the Double bedroom, and the 2 Twin Beds bedroom! We also have the main level Loft that provides a pull-out double bed. Our plush bedding and linens, soft bath towels & beach towels, are all provided. Waterfront Living Room ~ Large main floor vaulted Living Room invites your family to relax with a beautiful spacious sectional, large hearth gas fireplace, granite wet bar, ample seating, games for children and adults, and a large screen TV with high-speed internet. The main level of the home features 20-foot vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and waterfront vistas. Kitchen ~ Also located on the main floor, you’ll enjoy our fully equipped gourmet Kitchen, with artisan cookware, beautiful serving pieces, and even Holiday China for your festive family dinners. Waterfront Dining Room ~ Elegantly designed Dining Room welcomes you and your family with seating for 8-10 Breakfast Room ~ Enjoy your morning coffee and croissant in our relaxing large Breakfast Room, just off the Kitchen and seats 4-6. Waterfront All Season Porch~ Our beautiful “View Room” is an enclosed sitting porch that captures stunning scenes of the water and enters outside to the large Balcony. It features seating for your entire family, a library of fascinating books, and a telescope to take in every natural detail of the Creek and night sky. Wrap Around Balcony Deck and Patios ~ Both features were designed to capture every view of Carters Creek! The wrap around balcony and lower patio both have plenty of seating to enjoy the sunset on the water, while sipping your favorite glass of wine, or early morning coffee. And when you’d rather just sit back and relax, they also capture the view of the beach and dock, to enjoy from a far. Keep your eye on the rest of your crew kayaking, playing in the sand, and swimming, while watching the sailboats glide by. Outdoor Oasis and Amenities ~ Beaches and Dock ~ We feature a large sand beach to build sand castles, or lay back and relax in the sunshine, with plenty of chairs and a sun umbrella provided. We sport a deep-water dock with 4 boat slips. Provided for you is potable water, and 30 amp electrical, & lighting. Huckleberry Point is located 11 miles up the Rappahannock River from Windmill Point on the Chesapeake Bay, in the natural harbor of Carters Creek. Just down the street, you'll find a convenient Marina with Boat Ramp as well. Boats and Water Fun ~ We hope you have fun cruising the Creek with our 4 Kayaks (and 2 are 2 seaters), a large Paddle Board, including 6 Paddles, and 6 Adult Life Jackets. Pull in some bounty from the sea with our 2 Crab Pots, 2 Crab Nets, (Crab Steamer provided), 2 Fishing rods, and Fishing Tackle Box! Enjoy the Water Toys, 4 Yoga Mats, and an Outdoor Gas Grill & Picnic table with lighted Umbrella! Baby and Child Needs ~ To help make your vacation easier, we provide 2 High Chairs, a Pack n Play crib and sheet, Movies, Board Games, & even a first aid kit, just in case. Exploring the Town ~ Our quaint town of Irvington is a 10-minute walk featuring shopping, our delightful Farmer's Market, historic sites, A+ restaurants & pubs, gourmet Markets, Bakeries, Vineyards, fun places to grab a cocktail, hiking & biking trails, Art Galleries, beaches, sailing lessons & boat rentals, Golf & Natural Preserves are all nearby waiting to be explored. The well-known Tides Inn is just a mile away for a romantic evening out. Merroir (Rappahannock Oyster Company), just across the Rappahannock River, is famous for its oysters & offers charming outdoor riverside dining. Adrift, in White Stone, is fabulous & open for dinner, as is 77 Social, The Office Bistro & Dredge, in Irvington. Blue Honey Pilates Studio is a 5-minute walk from the house.
