The space Welcome to the Artist’s House This is a home with atmosphere. The Artist’s House is not a hotel. It is a home away from home for people who appreciate individuality, design, art, and extraordinary living spaces. You don’t simply come here to spend the night. You come here to arrive. ⸻ Spacious Living – All on One Level Set on approximately 100 square metres, this unique ground-floor design apartment offers its own private entrance, a charming wooden chalet, and a peaceful breakfast terrace overlooking the garden. The Artist’s House is our own home. Whenever we travel for longer periods, we open it to guests who appreciate inspiring spaces as much as we do. For that reason, it is not furnished like a typical holiday apartment. Instead, it is a fully equipped home, filled with thoughtful details that make everyday living comfortable and effortless. The generous floor plan combines open living with private retreats. The apartment features: * two separate bedrooms * a spacious living area * a large open-plan kitchen * a six-metre lounge with a daybed * a cosy cocktail corner with leather armchairs beside the fireplace Whether you stay for two nights or several weeks, you’ll find everything you need for daily life. Many herbs, spices and pantry essentials remain in the house and are yours to use whenever you need them. ⸻ A Kitchen Made for Living The open kitchen forms the heart of the home. Its large induction cooktop sits at the centre of the room, inviting everyone to cook together. A cast-iron farmhouse sink, a retro-style refrigerator and an extensive collection of beautiful tableware make preparing meals a pleasure rather than a necessity. ⸻ Lounge & Home Cinema Adjacent to the kitchen is a nearly six-metre-long lounge with a comfortable daybed. Whether you’re reading, working remotely, relaxing or enjoying an evening by the fire, this space quickly becomes everyone’s favourite place. If required, the daybed comfortably accommodates two additional guests. High-speed Wi-Fi and a projector instead of a traditional television transform the living room into either a private cinema or an inspiring workspace. ⸻ Bedrooms The master bedroom features a premium box-spring bed with a medical-grade mattress topper to ensure exceptionally restful sleep. A private en-suite bathroom is directly connected to the room. The bathroom offers a sunken bathtub, underfloor heating and generous storage space, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the year. The second bedroom is unlike anything you’ll normally find. Surrounded almost entirely by glass, it feels as though you’re sleeping among the treetops, waking up with views into the surrounding greenery. ⸻ Garden & Outdoor Living In front of the house lies our mature garden. Beneath the large chestnut tree you’ll find the breakfast terrace — the perfect place for your morning coffee or a long, relaxed Sunday breakfast. One of our favourite features is the small wooden chalet beside the terrace. Filled with soft sheepskin blankets, it is enjoyed throughout the year: for a glass of wine on summer evenings, cosy afternoons when it rains, or mulled wine and roasted chestnuts during winter. ⸻ Practical Comfort Upon request, guests may use the private parking space directly beside the house. Free street parking is always available. For longer stays, a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are available in the basement. The apartment has its own private entrance and spacious entrance hall, giving it the feel of an independent house rather than an apartment. The property also contains two additional holiday apartments. Each has its own entrance — some even their own private garden — allowing everyone complete privacy while still sharing the beautiful surroundings. ⸻ Perfectly Connected The Munich S-Bahn station is only a three-minute walk away. Trains depart every twenty minutes, reaching Munich city centre in around fifteen minutes. Even Oktoberfest is incredibly easy to reach — just three stops away. Directly opposite the house begins a beautiful forest, ideal for jogging, cycling or simply enjoying nature. The property is surrounded by mature trees and forms part of one of the area’s famous “green lungs”, offering peace and fresh air while remaining close to the city. Within a five-minute walk you’ll find bakeries, cafés, a butcher, pharmacy and supermarkets. The larger shopping district with boutiques and restaurants can easily be reached by bicycle in around ten minutes. Bicycles can be arranged upon request. The Tesla Service Centre Munich, including charging facilities, is only five minutes away by car. ⸻ A Different Kind of Luxury Our home is designed for guests who value atmosphere over perfection. Large glass windows reflect the surrounding nature. After rainfall you may occasionally notice delicate traces left by the weather. Leaves on the terrace, birdsong in the morning or an occasional spider’s web are all part of a mature garden and a house that truly lives with nature. If you’re looking for the perfectly polished atmosphere of a hotel, you’ll probably feel happier in one. If, however, you’re searching for character, generous spaces, thoughtful design and a genuine home away from home, you’ll fall in love with the Artist’s House. ⸻ Ideal For The Artist’s House is ideal for 2–4 guests, including dogs by arrangement. It is particularly well suited to couples, families, professionals working remotely or anyone wishing to experience Munich from a relaxed, inspiring environment.
