If we could go back to the sixteenth century and stroll through the fields of Euskadi, would enjoy the sight of numerous granaries or Garaixes, formerly very common in the villages of the eastern valleys vizcaínos and today virtually none left. The outbuildings were garaixes traditional villages high on stilts to store wheat, fruits and meats to protect animal food and moisture and also represented the social prestige of the family who owned it. In the oak shelves and walls, collections of antique plates decorated with scenes of villages and cups with different Basque motifs evoke ancient times.
