Description
I will have the pleasure of hosting you in our typical Breton house, rated 4* by the French Tourist Office. Ideally located at an equal distance (3 km) from Paimpol, the Arcouest pier for the island of Bréhat, and the charming fishing port of Loguivy-de-la-Mer, you can forget about your car during your vacation and do everything on foot or by bike in unspoiled nature and exceptional views of a very rugged coastline dotted with a hundred islets. The space You will enjoy its quiet countryside location so close to the sea. The house, walled and south-facing with its large 1500 m² wooded garden, is perfect for couples and families with children, hiking and/or water sports enthusiasts with its nearby beaches and nautical centers. On the ground floor, it is composed of: a spacious kitchen with a beautiful dining table where you can enjoy seafood and fish fresh out of the water, a large living room, toilet and laundry room, all forming a living space of 70 m². Upstairs: two large 18 m² bedrooms, one with private bathroom; a second bathroom and two 11 m² bedrooms. In winter, you will enjoy beautiful cocooning evenings by the wood-burning stove. In any season, leave the house to join the GR 34 coastal path on the Trieux river then continue to Loguivy-de-la-Mer and join the Arcouest by swimming as you pass on Ouern beach at high tide. From there, take a speedboat to reach Bréhat or return to the house to enjoy a well-deserved barbecue (we do not provide charcoal). In the evening, enjoy the lively atmosphere of the bistros and restaurants of the port of Paimpol and its adjoining alleys. Don't leave Ploubazlanec without visiting the Wall of the Disappeared and the Perros-Hamon Chapel to commemorate the shipwrecks that occurred during the great Icelandic fisheries between 1852 and 1935. More than 2,000 sailors from the area perished there. This will make you want to read or reread "Pêcheurs d'Islande", the superb book by Pierre Loti. Guest access Tenants can have the entire house and are totally independent. Other things to note Private parking for multiple vehicles.
