In the renovated, three-post house from 1790 there is a modern, comfortable 65 m² holiday apartment in the former threshing floor and stable part of the old farmhouse. The apartment was renovated and equipped with building biological materials. The spacious, high living space with the open half-timbering and the glazed tennis gate (Grot Dör) creates a unique atmosphere. The contemporary equipment offers space for up to 4 vacationers, an expansion to 6 people on a short vacation, with a sofa bed in the living area is possible. We are looking forward to your visit! The village of Toad is located in the west of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district, a few kilometers south of the federal road B 493 (Lüchow-Uelzen). Here are the first slopes of the so-called High Drawehn. The landscape is slightly curved and rich in forests. Around the village are meadows, fields and forest areas, this idyllic setting invites you to enjoy relaxing bike tours and long walks. The village itself consists of approx. 10 houses and was formerly a so-called small Rundlingsdorf. From Toad you can reach the district town of Lüchow or Uelzen with all shops, doctors, offices and schools and a wide range of leisure activities in about 20 minutes by car. A heated forest pool is located in the nearby town of Wittfeitzen. Quiet location as through traffic is very reduced. Every year, a pair of cranes nests nearby, which can be observed time and again in the fields and with its imposing screams lets you experience the uniqueness of nature. An excursion to the Elbe and the half-timbered towns of Hitzacker, Lüchow, Dannenberg or Salzwedel is worthwhile in any weather. There is the Hundertwasser station in Uelzen, and a large farmers' market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The landlords will be happy to provide further tips for excursions, hikes, bike tours or cultural events on site.
