Loon's Nestis a cozy two bedroom cabin with one full size bed in each bedroom. It has a combination living/kitchen/dining area and a great screened in front porch with a side view of the lake. The porch gives extra space and a great place to watch the sun come up, enjoy your morning coffee, read a good book and enjoy the Les Cheneaux breezes. You can also watch the kids play on the sand beach volleyball court from the cabin. This cabin has all the amenities you will need to be comfortable during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, utensils and silverware. Bed linens and pillows are furnished as well. We do ask our renters to provide their own bath and kitchen linens, however, if this is inconvenient, please let us know. There is a lawn area out front of the cabin with a picnic table and grill and it’s just a short walk across the yard to the lake. All cabins at Les Cheneaux Landing Resort have access to 250 feet of waterfront, spacious yard area, sandy swimming beach, docks, basketball court, horseshoes and sand beach volleyball court. The swimming area is great for kids and they love playing on our swim mat. Loon's Nestis named after the Common Loon found on many northern Michigan lakes. The haunting call of the loon is always a lovely sound and brings a feeling of calm and peace in the evening as the sun is setting and in the wee hours of the morning. Loons are found in the sheltered bays and quiet coves of the islands. Many species of birds inhabit the shores and forest areas of Les Cheneaux and bird watching has become very popular in our area. Birds you may see include – Common Loons, Herons, Pileated Woodpeckers, Warblers, Osprey, American Bittern, Common Yellowthroat and Swamp Sparrow, Gulls, Long-tailed Ducks, Least Flycatcher and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Black Terns, Common Terns, Caspian Terns and many more.
