Glassell Vista Garden Suite

Cozy hillside guest suite tucked on a very quiet 1-way street with a view of Mount Washington. Ideal location, minutes away from Highland Park, Pasadena, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and beyond. With easy access to the 2 and 5 freeways Downtown is only 10-15 minutes away. Ideal for first-time visitors to Los Angeles or regular travelers in town for work or leisure.     The space Newly renovated suite (225 square feet) with polished concrete floors and French doors letting in lovely natural light. Located on the lower floor of our home, the unit has a private side walkway leading down to a separate back entrance. In addition to the queen-size bed, there’s a sitting / living area with a couch, coffee table, and small desk that can be divided with a pull-curtain – especially useful for couples if someone wants to sleep in a bit later! The couch is spacious enough to function as a single bed for a third person or for two travelers who’d prefer separate sleeping arrangements.

 The kitchenette is equipped with toaster oven, mini refrigerator, electric tea kettle, and pour over coffee plus we have stocked the basics for coffee, tea and basic food preparation. The Cozy bathroom boasts a brand new sink, a window to the backyard, and an original mid-century, walk in tile shower. The unit has high-speed Wi-Fi making working from this home away from home easy. Outside enjoy our lush property adorned with California native plants, fruit trees, and other beautiful botanicals with a view of the east side of Mount Washington – a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a sunrise or sunset. The lower yard is still a bit of a work in progress so you may find us during the day gardening or landscaping!   Guest access 
When you arrive open the gate on the right side of the garage and follow the concrete path down around to the back of the house. At the bottom, to your left, are the French doors leading into the unit. 
 The space does share a wall with our lower level home office but the door locks on both sides so guests’ privacy is ensured. We will send you a unique passcode before arriving so you can enter whenever you’d like. Check-in time is after 3 PM and check-out time is 11:30. Other things to note Within walking distance you will find coffee shops, restaurants, bars, an arcade, a few art galleries and some cute shopping ( see out guide book for more detailed information). The suite is very much family friendly! We have a daughter who tends to wake up early but the newly renovated unit was designed with high acoustic separation from the main house above so you shouldn’t be disturbed. 

There is no smoking in the suite at any time but responsible use outside is okay. Los Angeles is extremely dry and fire-prone most of the year so we ask you be extremely careful and cautious in this regard.   Also: as our street is 1-way there is only parking along the right side. The majority of the time there are open spaces but occasionally if you arrive later in the evening you may have to park several houses down from ours. Rarely is it ever further than a minute or two walk though. Registration Details HSR23-000444
