Black Hills Mountain Top Cabin with Great Views

Mountain cottage nestled in a small community in the Black Hills. Backs onto Forest Service. Access to Rapid Creek & great fishing. Great for outdoor adventures, hiking, mountain biking. Eight miles from Rapid City. We also live on the property. Enjoy organic gardens, full kitchen & bath, sleeping loft with a queen bed. Futon folds into almost full size bed. Private deck with great views. Electric fireplace, high ceilings, views. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). The space This cottage was designed as a "Tiny House" with comfort and efficiency in mind. It is very energy efficient and stays cool during hot summers and cozy warm during cold, snowy winters. This home offers a wonderful retreat from noise and the activity of daily life. We have hosted several medical students as they study for board exams. They have been very happy with the peaceful, private space. A private deck with table and chairs is perfect for morning coffee and quiet contemplation, yet spacious enough for Yoga at sunrise. There is an abundance of wildlife to watch. The deer, turkey, bunnies and eagles all contribute to this peaceful space. We have recently installed a fence around the entire property to deter the deer from gorging themselves on fruits and vegetables in the gardens! You will receive an electric gate opener upon arrival. Multiple gates provide access to USFS land. We are a working organic/all natural small farm. Guest access Entire cottage is your private sanctuary. We have organic, sustainable gardens that you are welcome to enjoy. You are welcome to wander through our Growing Dome greenhouse and pick fresh herbs for cooking. A swing set, climbing rope, and sand box are available for children to enjoy. Two hammocks under the pine trees are a great place to rest and relax. PLEASE NOTE: Designed and built as a "Tiny House". The loft bedroom is accessible via a retractable ladder (shown in pictures) may not be appropriate for elderly or people with mobility issues. Other things to note 1. We have 20 pet chickens (hens) and 2 dogs. Wildlife present - use caution. 2. Please Don't Chase The Chickens. 3. Mountain road may not be suitable for MOTORCYCLES. Please, communicate with me prior to booking the reservation if you plan to ride your motorcycle. 4. Arrival after dark is not recommended. 5. May NOT be appropriate for Elderly or people with mobility issues. There are steps, stairs, ladder and uneven ground. NOTE: We live on the property
