Our well presented and characterful holiday home, nestled in a small row of terraced cottages, is perfect for those who want a rural retreat surrounded by stunning Lake District scenery. This beautiful early 18th century, grade II listed cottage features beamed ceilings, slate floors and plenty of character but with modern bathrooms and appliances, making it ideal for a family break or perfect for couples thanks to the additional bathroom. The space Upstairs you’ll find a spacious master bedroom with kingsize bed, a well-appointed twin room and a modern shower room. Downstairs you have a separate living room with plenty of easy seating and a wood burner for those cosy nights in front of the fire, which is a great space to spend time with your family and friends. The combined kitchen and dining room features high quality appliances suitable for preparing a family feast and a large table which ideal for board games or a jigsaw with a glass of wine. You also have an additional bathroom with shower over the bath which gives you good flexibility if you have two couples. Other things to note Free and easy on street parking is available directly opposite the cottage. Please note Foxdown Cottage has the original stone staircase which can be a little steep for those with mobility issues but a stair rail is in place.
