Brand new quiet villa amongst a natural herbs garden with private pool and spectacular views The space Casa Spanos was built in 2020 on the top of a hill with breathtaking, panoramic views of the sea, the mountains and the cape, overlooking the northern coastal line of Crete. The house is constructed from stone and wood and is situated in an area of 6000 m2 in a natural rocky environment, amongst sage and lentisk bushes, oak and carob trees as well as a huge variety of aromatic and medicinal plants. At the same time, it is located very near lovely beaches and countryside paths, the traditional village of Prines, the picturesque town of Rethymno and Chania International Airport. Our goal was to build a clean-cut but also contemporary and elegant residence with natural materials, which respect the landscape and the traditional architecture as much as the needs of a modern home. The warm interior combines the aesthetics of our local and family traditions with world elements and objects that we have selected from our travels or have hand-made ourselves. We wish for our guests to feel comfortable and at home while at the same time have the chance to experience first-hand the history and natural environment of the area. Our favourite time of the day is early evening, when you can enjoy spectacular sunset views.
