Description

Environmentally sustainable, a 4-minute walk to the beach, in the center but in a green and quiet area. It has a bright kitchen with snack top, living room with large sofa and balcony, 2 bedrooms with balcony, 2 bathrooms with shower and bidet. Air conditioning in every room, Samsung washing machine, dishwasher, oven (including steam), Smart TV, Wifi, Speaker, automated shutters and awnings, Schuco fixtures, free street parking. Beach umbrella offered. Supermarkets 2 minutes walk The space The Giglio di Mare is an invitation to get to know Pescara and Abruzzo. Those who adopt sustainable behaviors and avoid wasting natural resources are particularly welcome. The soft colors and cement tiles used were chosen, recalling the most beautiful period for the people of Pescara: the early 1900s where lightness was the unifying element of its citizens. References to some of the children of this beautiful land (including Ennio Flaiano, Gabriele D'Annunzio and Paolino Sanelli) are a further invitation to learn more about the surprising history of Abruzzo. The apartment is ideal for families, curious young people and singles who wish to use it for remote working and for its proximity to the coast and the beach. The two bedrooms are themed: one dedicated to the flocks of sheep in transhumance (almost the only source of wealth for long centuries) towards the Gran Sasso plateau and the other is in honor of the last shepherd of the province of Pescara: Paolino Sanelli who, before dying, wrote an eloquent book: "All my dreams were born on the Maiella". These are ideas to get to know a wonderful region that, just a few kilometers away, will let you enjoy the sea and mountains, immersed in often-forgotten scents, smells and colors. Note that in the case of a booking for only one person, only one room and one bathroom will be available in the night section. Guest access There's lots to do nearby. I wrote a handbook with all the useful information and left it on the coffee table in the living room. It's also translated into English and French. Easy to find parking nearby. They're all free. Other things to note This is my apartment when I get back from Brussels. I renovated it entirely, choosing high-quality products and dedicating it to a delicate but resilient flower that grows among the dunes, under the pedestrian and bicycle bridge that connects the two banks of the Pescara River. You will find everything you need since there are many weeks per year that I live here. The waste of water, energy, food and, in general, natural resources, is an aberration of our times. Please keep this in mind when using my apartment. The building is permanently inhabited by families. After 10 p.m., please minimize any activities that may disturb them. Parties are not allowed.
