Hideaway Cabin

In the bush with lake glimpses, Hideaway is our most requested cottage. It is certainly the one to book for a couple's romantic weekend retreat or if privacy and seclusion for up to 7 guests. It is a high quality earth brick, hand-finished cottage with a loft and a straw-lined cathedral roof supported by recycled ironbark bridge beams. The high ceilings and extensive use of natural materials impart a very comfortable and rustic older-world ambience. The space Three bedrooms with one king bed upstairs and two king bed downstairs. All of our king beds can be unzipped to make singles. Please advise at time of booking. There is one inside bathroom downstairs with a shower that incorporates a picture window to the bush. Outside there is a private and romantic claw-foot bath with bush views. A separate outside shower enables alfresco showering to wash off beach sand before going inside. Also outside there is a Weber Q (oven-style) gas BBQ. The kitchen will be enjoyed by those who enjoy cooking. The island preparation bench provides a focus for socialising while preparing food. There is sufficient crockery, cutlery and glasses for a party of 6. The deck is very private and offers lake glimpses through a south coast forest of spotted gums, blackbutts and cycads.
