Witt Huuske
Description
The "Witt Huuske" is a lovingly renovated residential home from 1890, divided into two separate rental units, the "Vorderhaus" and "Hinterhaus". It has been awarded 5 stars. It's located in the village of Campen, close to the dike and Germany's tallest lighthouse. In designing it, we drew on how we ourselves like to vacation: high-quality furniture, elegant fittings, and special details that make the trip something extraordinary. The space The "Vorderhaus" has 67 m² of living space. The sanded wooden beam ceiling, together with the oak-framed windows and solid wood parquet flooring, creates a healthy and elegant indoor atmosphere. Combined with urban furniture, this creates a distinctive mix of historic and modern elements. The floor-to-ceiling windows let plenty of light into the house and can be opened from the living area onto the terrace and your own garden area, where garden furniture and a grill are available. In summer, this extends your living space directly into the garden. In the living area, you can relax on a sofa and a reading chair. A smart TV with Netflix offers entertainment even in bad weather. A drawer also holds a large selection of Blu-ray films, along with a shelf of world literature titles and a collection of games. The sofa can be folded out into a sofa bed. The kitchen, open to the living area, is generously equipped with an induction stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. High-quality dishes and cutlery are a given for us. The dining table seats four people. The bedroom is located on the 1st floor and is furnished with a 180x200 cm double bed and extra-long bedding. The bedding is included in the price and suitable for allergy sufferers. The mattresses are of very high quality. A desk can be used for working. A stable Wi-Fi network with up to 50 Mbit is available — ideal for home office work and tested with video conferencing. The roof windows offer a view all the way to the dike and are electric, even programmable for ventilation. The bathroom features a walk-in rain shower as well as a bathtub. Towels and a starter set of shampoo and shower gel are provided for you. Heated towel rails and underfloor heating add that extra bit of coziness. The bathroom is very spacious. The surroundings: Campen is a small village in the Krummhörn region, about 15 minutes from the tourist hotspot Greetsiel and the port city of Emden. All tourist highlights are easily reachable by car, while at the same time you'll find peace and quiet here, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. But Campen has plenty to offer as well. Right in the village, about 3 minutes away, is a huge agricultural museum. Here you can not only view more than 600 fascinating exhibits in a historic setting, but also enjoy freshly baked cake in the tea room or a beer in a deck chair. The historic church from 1295 is also worth a visit, especially for its ancient organ and ceiling paintings. And of course, a climb up Germany's tallest lighthouse on the dike is well worth it. From there, on a clear day, you can see all the way to the East Frisian Islands. The village is also a perfect starting point for bike tours. Guest access Key handover takes place contactlessly via an outdoor KeySafe. Here you'll take out your key and also put it back after your stay. Other things to note The apartment is designed for two people. An extra bed can be requested upon inquiry. Bed linen, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. are included in the price. A private parking space is available directly at the apartment. An 11 kW charging station can also be used upon request. Bicycles can be stored on the porch opposite the terrace, protected from the weather. A complete East Frisian tea set for the obligatory tea ceremony daily at 3 p.m. is available to guests. The wood-burning fireplace is available to all guests who feel confident operating a fireplace and who read the instructions. Firewood, kindling, and firelighters must be provided by guests themselves. The shared laundry room, used by both units, has a washing machine and an ironing board available. Drying racks and cleaning supplies are located in each apartment respectively. There is a wall safe in the wardrobe in the apartment. For safety, the entire house is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. A fire extinguisher is located under the sink.
