Bledsoe’s River Inn

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 18 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy 24 acres of private property located on the Fisher River where you can enjoy all types of fishing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming! A short drive will take you to many award winning wineries and to downtown Mt. Airy, also known as Mayberry. Also, a 30 minute drive will take you to Stone Mountain State Park or to the beautiful Pilot Mountain State Park for endless views and hiking. Welcome!! The space The cottage is decorated with period 1800-1850 antiques but does include some modern necessities. One bedroom includes a brand new queen size mattress and foundation. The second downstairs bedroom contains a full size bed. The sleeping loft bedroom contains a reproduction antique 3/4 bed and two twin beds for the kiddos. So travel back in time and enjoy for a little while! Relax on the back porch with a book, work on your laptop, or watch a movie on the second tv. Step outside the back porch and enjoy the fire pit on a cool night and roast marshmallows with the family. Sitting on the back patio you can view the cows grazing, enjoy some bird watching or view the sunset. Beyond that is the river. Guest access Cottage is located approximately 250 yards from the river. We invite you to bring your golf carts, or you are welcome to drive your vehicle or walk through the cow pasture (with the friendly cows and no bull) to the river. Other things to note Office space can be utilized on the enclosed back porch. There is a drop leaf table that can be pulled up for your convenience with a couple of different size chairs to choose from. No pets please! Please bring your own fishing gear. Kayak rentals are available at $20 per kayak. This includes a drop off up river and a life jacket. Just let us know in advance if you would like to utilize this option.
