The living room includes an electric fireplace, hardwood floors, and a 55-inch smart TV. The dining area has a pine-finish table with seating for 6 and 4 additional bar stools at the kitchen island. On the first floor, you’ll find 2 bedrooms: one with a full-size bed and another with twin-size beds, ideal for kids. The master suite on the second floor has 2 queen-size beds, an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity, jetted tub, and walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with wine glasses, dishware, cookware, and appliances like a Keurig coffee maker, Cuisinart drip coffee maker, and blender. A starter supply kit with paper products and hand soap is provided. Guests should bring additional supplies for longer stays. Enjoy family fun in the game room or relax on the private deck while soaking in the mountain views. The main deck features a 6-burner gas grill and outdoor dining table with 6 chairs. Important Notes: Outdoor amenities, such as the gas grill and patio furniture, may not be available during winter months. House parties and unsupervised large groups are strictly prohibited. Parking is limited to 2 cars on the driveway. Off-street parking must be on a paved surface. Violators of parking rules may face fines and towing. On-street parking during snow removal activities can result in the vehicle being towed at the owner's expense. Violators will be fined up to $1,000. Code Enforcers will tow your vehicles without notice if you park on the street. It is your responsibility that you comply. For your safety, a Ring video doorbell and Ring floodlight camera are installed on the property. Guest access The property allows a maximum of 2 full size cars. Guests have access to the entire cabin, with the exception of the garage. You can enjoy the side deck, which includes a BBQ grill and outdoor dining table. Other things to note Important Information for Your Stay: Cooling & Heating: Tower electric fans are provided throughout the cabin to help keep you cool during the summer months. Please note, this home does not have air conditioning (most homes in Tahoe do not, due to the short and mild summer season). The home is equipped with central heat and an electric fireplace for warmth during the winter. In the event of a power outage, both the central heat and electric fireplace will be inoperable. Wildlife & Insects: Animals: Tahoe is home to wildlife such as bears, coyotes, raccoons, ants, and mice. It is common to see bears around the property, so extra caution is always necessary. Do not approach bears, and always ensure your car doors are locked and free of food. Close the downstairs bedroom window, as bears can climb in. Do not leave food unattended on the deck. Insects and Wildlife: As the cabin is in an unincorporated area of South Lake Tahoe, you may encounter uninvited guests such as ants, spiders, flies, bees, and more. These occurrences are typical in the area, and refunds will not be issued for these visits. Electricity: Power outages and interruptions can occur. We cannot guarantee power, heat, or electricity during such an event and will not offer refunds or credits. PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE A GENERATOR. Weather Conditions: We do not provide refunds for weather-related issues such as road conditions, snow, or other weather impacts. This includes situations like flight delays, road closures, or poor air quality due to wildfires. If you're visiting during the winter, please be aware that the local roads may not be plowed for up to 2 days after a snowstorm. Always check local weather and road conditions before traveling. Winter Warning: If you're staying during a snowstorm, be prepared for potential road and driveway access issues. Snow removal for the driveway depends on the county’s plowing schedule. We recommend guests traveling in winter use 4-wheel or all-wheel-drive vehicles and carry chains. Apalachee Red Cabin is not responsible for refunds if you are unable to reach the property due to snow, ice, or other weather-related issues. Trip Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing trip/cancellation insurance, especially if your stay is during the winter months or if you're concerned about the possibility of cancellation due to weather conditions. Vehicle Requirements: Due to the extreme weather conditions in South Lake Tahoe, including snow and ice, we strongly advise using vehicles equipped for such conditions (4-wheel or all-wheel drive) and carrying chains during the winter months. Apalachee Red Cabin will not provide refunds if you are unable to access the property or require towing due to weather-related conditions. Security Cameras: For the security of the property and our guests, there are two Ring cameras: one on the front door facing the street and one facing the driveway.
