Welcome to Lucky Dreamer Lodge! Plan an exciting river/jungle vacation for a group of up to 6 on our secluded property on the river. The river, garden & jungle views are awe-inspiring & you feel like you’re in the midst of the wilds (while still in civilization). Find everything you need here for a spectacular vacation. Plan amazing outings to nearby adventures or just hang out in your private deck hammocks. Check us out online for more photos and videos: @lucky_dreamer_lodge We are Cheryl & Jeff, owners of LUCKY DREAMER LODGE. We are an AWARD-WINNING BELIZE JUNGLE LODGE with 2 bungalows on 1.5 acres on the river, less than 5 miles from San Ignacio. ↠Well-Stocked Full Outdoor Kitchen ↠Free Fast Wi-Fi (25Mbps) ↠Free Coffee & supplies ↠FREE Unlimited bottled water ↠No housekeeping fee & No check-out chores! ↠Free on-site parking ↠Village Shuttle to/from San Ignacio for @$1 U.S. ↠Free washer/dryer & supplies ↠Free use of Kayak, Innertubes & Bicycles ↠Extremely Safe & Authentic Belize Jungle Village (@ 700 residents!) Ꙭ Upon booking, you’ll be sent access to a PERSONALIZED digital Guest Guidebook -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LUCKY DREAMER LODGE has river & jungle views in the heart of a little village in the foothills of the Mountain Pine Ridge. This listing includes both LUCKY DREAMER LODGE jungle bungalows - with lots of space to spread out! Our Banana Bungalow sleeps 2 and overlooks the river. Our Belize Bungalow sleeps 4 and overlooks the lush jungle property. The Banana Bungalow is a stand-alone cabin - lovingly built by hand, by us and some local friends & neighbors. It was initially meant to be a guest house for family & friends, but everyone said it was too special not to share with others! The Banana Bungalow is made of local hardwoods and local pine from Mountain Pine Ridge. The bungalow interior is fully screened. There is a custom-made mahogany king bed and hardwood nightstands. The covered, open deck overlooks the property with a peek at the Macal River and hills beyond. The Banana Bungalow has a spacious private covered deck, with a hammock, dining table/2 chairs and extra loveseat for two. There is also a private stone courtyard area. The Banana Bungalow does not have A/C, but due to its construction design and location on the property it does not need it. The Belize Bungalow was our home for over 5 years, before we built our current home closer to the river. The Belize Bungalow is roomy and functional, but not fancy :-) The Belize Bungalow is fully screened. There is a custom-made mahogany queen bed, and two twin-size sofa beds. The very large, covered/screened deck (with 4 hammocks) overlooks the property and has extra seating and a private dining area. A/C is only in the Belize Bungalow. The bungalows are steps away from the Macal River and we have a two-person kayak and inner tubes ready for your use (no additional charge). The Belize Bungalow does not have a view of the river, but does have a nice jungle-yard view (as seen in the many photos). There is a separate outdoor kitchen/dining area for the use of our guests. The kitchen is not inside a bungalow - as just boiling water would heat the entire room! Even our own kitchen is 'outside.' :-) The outdoor kitchen is located next to the Belize bungalow. We provide ground coffee, sugar, powdered cream, salt, pepper, and other condiments/cooking ingredients. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans, mixing bowls, dishes flatware, cups, etc. We also have items such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, non-stick spray, cooking oil, etc. We also provide a 5 gallon jug of filtered water for the use of guests (which we replace as needed). We recommend bringing refillable/lidded bottles to take advantage of the water and to avoid buying bottled water while here. We also keep one gallon of water in the frig, and have ice packs and ice cubes available for guest use. There are birds everywhere & of every kind! We had a birdwatcher recently identify over 60 bird species in a three week period! We pay your AirBnB Booking Fee + we do not charge any Housekeeping Fees! LUCKY DREAMER LODGE has been named 2021, 2022 & 2023 Best Central American Jungle Glamping Venue AND awarded the LUXlife Community Impact Award 2022 for Belize, and Green Initiative Award for 2023. We were also featured in the Sept 2022 edition of International Living. Check out the photos for the entire article. LUCKY DREAMER LODGE guests have access to the 1.5 acre property, which includes a genuine Mayan mound (yes, you WILL find Mayan pottery, guaranteed!) but you have to leave it behind. Other features include an outdoor dining area/kitchen with a full-size frig and charcoal grill. There is also a double sink and 6-burner gas stove and oven - and lots of countertop space. We also have a guest laundry facility where guests can do laundry for no additional charge. Please let us know if you want to do laundry so we can turn on the butane and electricity. We grow fruits, herbs and vegetables. You are welcome to anything ready to harvest! Depending on the time of year herbs include, basil, parsley, oregano, garlic chives, catnip, sage, rosemary & mint! Veggies include tomatoes, onions, lettuce, hot peppers, and more! Fruits include bananas, pineapples, mangos, soursop, dragon fruit, avocado, raspberries, blackberries, nuts, and more! There is a 2-person kayak available at no extra charge, as well as two inner tubes for use on the Macal River - which is in our backyard! We recommend guests that want to take out the kayak, paddle up river only in the morning and then casually float back to our property. Pick-up service for the kayak is not available. There are places to stop upriver where you can safely dock our kayak. There are no secure places downriver to dock (other than the Belize Raptor Center). San Ignacio is down river and therefore it is not feasible to kayak to San Ignacio. There are dams on the river, so in the afternoon the river rises and flows quicker - that's why we recommend kayaking only in the morning. Please note that the bicycles are available to use within our village. They are 'used' bikes and would not fare well on the roads outside of our village. We call our little jungle paradise home, and you can always count on a warm welcome and someone here on-site to assist you. We live on the property and take pride in personally greeting you upon your arrival. While there may be occasions when we need to travel to the states for various reasons, rest assured that there will always be someone we trust on-site, ensuring your needs are met, and questions answered. Whether you want to chat about Belize, seek local recommendations, or simply need assistance with any aspect of your visit, you’ll have a reliable point of contact right here. Your comfort and satisfaction are of utmost importance to us. We are early risers - usually up and around by 6:30am. Our guests' tours take them away from the property most of the day - but we are around to answer questions, provide directions, etc. We have two dogs & a cat that have full access to the property. They are all very friendly - and Milo (the youngest & largest dog) likes to spend time with guests on the deck. Cristo Rey Village, Cayo, Belize is the perfect destination for nature-lovers of all ages. From its beautiful tropical diverse wildlife to its stunning river and foothills of Mountain Pine Ridge, this village offers a unique and breathtakingly beautiful experience. For those who love the outdoors, there is plenty to do. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through our lush jungle property, explore the crystal clear Macal river that flows by our property or take our kayak out for even more pristine nature viewing. You can also take a dip in the refreshing waters of the local waterfalls. For those who want to explore the local culture, visit the nearby Mayan ruins, or take a trip to nearby San Ignacio. There are plenty of activities for the adventurer in you, from ziplining to horseback riding. With so much to offer, Cristo Rey Village, Cayo, Belize is the perfect destination for you! Lucky Dreamer Lodge is a beautiful place for a vacation mostly because of the Belizeans that welcome guests with open arms! On any given day you'll see kids going door-to-door selling homemade goodies, or veggies from their gardens. The tortilla man delivers fresh tortillas twice a day (Sun-Fri) - for 95 cents U.S. a pound! There is a small convenience grocery store directly across the road from us. There you'll find just about everything you need for simple meals. Just a short walk down the road are "Carn's" & “Sandals” two local restaurants that serve made to order local-style meals. A short walk up the road is a place to go horseback riding! About a mile down the road is a local spot called "The Showers" - a waterfall area, that very few tourists know about. And it's free! Lucky Dreamer Lodge is a jumping off point for all the local adventures including Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, ATM cave, Tikal, Caracol, etc….. But here are some additional adventures/activities nearby: ATV tours (2 hour or 4.5 hours) A 1 minute drive from us! The longer trip takes you to a waterfall in Elijio Panti National Park. The Belize Raptor Center is right across the river from us. (5 min swim or kayak ride) It's free (a non-profit that accepts donations) Two Maya Cooking Experiences that include the meal (5 min & 15 min drives) You can visit Oxmul Coffee. (10 minute drive). They grow, harvest, dry, roast and sell their coffee onsite. Tours are @ $25 U.S. per person and include a free cup of coffee. Iguana Conservation Project at San Ignacio Hotel (15 min drive). Super fun, where you can hold iguanas, and baby iguanas can crawl on you! Hands-on Chocolate Demonstrations (15 min drive) There is a cave tour in a canoe with no hiking or swimming involved. It is dark with just headlamps. That would be Barton Creek Cave. (20 min drive) Ziplining: (25 min drive) Jungle Pontoon Water Adventure (45 min drive), that takes you to 5 different waterfalls Mountain Pine Ridge (FREE) - specifically ..... - Big Rock Falls (30 min drive): - Rio On Pools (15 min beyond Big Rock Falls) : - Rio Frio Cave (15 mins beyond Rio On Pools): Several butterfly farms: One about 30 mins from us - near ziplining & Barton Creek Cave. Once at Lucky Dreamer Lodge, the bus and shuttle service stop right in front of our property from 7am to about 5pm daily, Mon-Saturday. (There is no public transportation available on Sunday, other than taxi service) The bus costs @ 75 cents U.S. each way. The shuttle costs @ $1.00 U.S. each way. The ride takes about 15 minutes. Taxi rides run between $10-$12.50 U.S. each way based on daytime or nighttime. WHEN you book LUCKY DREAMER LODGE, you unleash a world of AirBnB hosting you may not have experienced before. Check us out online for more photos and videos: @lucky_dreamer_lodge Add our listing to your AirBnB Wishlist by clicking the ❤ in the upper right corner. We welcome all races, ethnicities, genders, orientations & religions. __________________________________________________________ LUCKY DREAMER LODGE is Gold Standard Certified by the Belize Tourism Board. No AirBnB Booking Fee! No Housekeeping/Cleaning Fee! If you need more space than the Banana Bungalow, we have another AirBnB listing that sleeps 4, called the Belize Bungalow. Belize requires all legal accommodations to be licensed. Our License # is 2078. There are a LOT accommodations in Belize that are not licensed (a few in our village) - so please ask them before booking if the listing doesn't mention the BTB license#. Please note that we are required to collect 9% sales tax. We do NOT have a gratuity charge. *************************** No open flames permitted in/near the bungalows. Also, no food, drinks, wrappers, etc., permitted inside the bungalow. This is a jungle and the jungle bugs (mostly ants) LOVE food and have an amazing jungle communication network to share new sources of food with! *************************** LUCKY DREAMER LODGE is a member of 'Pack for a Purpose' - we collect donated supplies for two local organizations - Cayo Animal Welfare Society and the Cristo Rey R.C. Village School. *************************** Cristo Rey Village is in the jungle region of Belize. While this provides incredible beauty and natural wonders, it also means that heat, humidity, sudden tropical squalls, power outages and water outages are not uncommon (However, we do have a back-up generator, and back-up water supply & pump). ************************** We have free high speed wi-fi service on the property and in the bungalow. It is fast and reliable! However, if the power to the village goes out, we do lose internet service, but that doesn’t happen often. ************************** We strive for a calm, serene & relaxing environment; and most of the time it is just that. However, the local birds are very active as daylight breaks, and the Howler Monkeys can be a bit startling at night. We are also in the middle of a small, but active village. Sometimes the neighboring roosters, dogs, church music, etc. can be heard. For those guests who are extremely noise sensitive please keep these things in mind.

We (Jeff & Cheryl) moved to the 'wilds' of Belize from the 'wilds' of Minnesota in 2014. Since moving to Belize we purchased some land on the Macal River, built our own home, and two guest bungalows that we run as Lucky Dreamer Lodge. We have extensive experience in the hospitality industry with over 33 years of combined experience at Walt Disney World and another 10+ years of joint experience in owning our own restaurant, herb farm and Bed & Breakfast in the states. We definitely know what it means to exceed our guests' expectations! We're pretty laid back, and can spend as much or as little time interacting with you as you want. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the area - especially before booking with us. But of course, we'd love to have you choose us as your Belize destination for the jungle portion of your vacation!
