Munds Park is a small (mostly) cabin community situated between Sedona (40 mi) and Flagstaff (20 mi), providing an ideal location to relax away from the city and explore northern AZ. What makes our cabin special? - We can accommodate 11 guests. (Infants and children are included in the occupancy limit) - Each of our 5 bedrooms has its own en suite full bathroom and smart TV - All linens, including duvet covers and bath mats, are laundered between guests The space Our cabin has plenty of space for your next gathering. On the bottom level, there is a great room (including the kitchen, two dining tables, and the living room), a half bathroom, a laundry room, and the master bedroom with bathroom. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, all with their own attached bathroom. Three of those bedrooms boast king size beds, while the remaining room sleeps 4 to 5 guests, with a queen bed and also a bunk bed (twin over full). Out front, there is a deck running the entire length of the house and a porch swing to sit on to enjoy the weather and watch the kids play. Out back, there is a fenced yard (not landscaped and still in a natural forest state...see pictures) and a large uncovered deck to soak up some warm sunshine! Bringing Children? Great! All ages are welcome at our cabin, but please note there may be some dangers posed to young children: stairs leading to the patio and the second story, low cabinets that contain items that could be dangerous (i.e., cleaning supplies, glass items), and some rocky terrain in the yard (it is a forest after all!). That said, our own children/grandchildren have grown up coming to the cabin - from a couple months old to adult - and we provide some items to make their stay more enjoyable, as well. There is a playhouse in the front yard, toys/balls, children's books, and a pressure-mounted "baby" gate that can be used inside at the bottom of the stairs. Please note that is is only to be used at the bottom of the stairs. The Location Munds Park is ideally located less than two hours from Phoenix and only 20 minutes from Flagstaff, making it a great location for quick getaways or long stays. It is a small community, but there is a park with a playground and sand volleyball, as well as several restaurants, often with live music in the summer months. If you plan to get outdoors, there are plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and off-roading. Mormon Lake and Lake Mary are also all in the area. WHAT WE PROVIDE: We've tried to capture a snapshot of items that may be important that you can expect to see at our cabin. This list is not necessarily inclusive. Please contact us if you have any questions or are looking to confirm a specific item is available. - Dishes, utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker, crockpot, skillet, mixer - Basic spices - Hand soap, dish soap - Freshly laundered towels and linens - Paper products (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags) - Full sized washer machine and dryer with detergent - Hair dryer - High Speed internet (Munds Park is not known for the most reliable internet, but it is usually pretty good) - Propane grill - We have two tanks and do our best to keep them full, but we cannot guarantee it. There is a Shell station, minutes away, for the small possibility that both tanks are empty. The tank can be filled there. - Picnic table and outdoor seating - Log porch swing - 65" Smart TV in living room and another in the master bedroom. All other bedrooms have 50" smart TVs - Board games, puzzles, books, toys - Gas fireplace in living room - Outdoor fire pit - Fire wood not provided - Central heat - Air conditioning - Ceiling fans WHAT WE DO NOT PROVIDE: Also important - we want you to understand what may not be available when you arrive for your stay so that you can plan accordingly and/or make a quick store run. Munds Park and surrounding areas are great for escaping the heat in Summer and provide plenty of opportunities for snow play in Winter. Pictures will be taken before and after rental. We are trusting you with our family cabin. Please respect that and follow all house rules and policies. If something gets damaged, let us know ASAP and we will address it professionally and fairly. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING: No parties or events are permitted Occupancy: The max occupancy is 12 people. Booker must stay on property. (Infants are included the the occupancy limit, but there are some exceptions. Contact host for approval) Quiet hours/Noise curfew - Out of respect to neighbors, noise must be limited from 10pm to 8am This property has a strict no drugs and no smoking, of any kind, policy. No fireworks/firecrackers, including sparklers! It is guest responsibility to check to make sure there are no fire restrictions before using the fireplace, grill and/or fire pit. Please, never leave a fire unattended. Outdoor fires must be in the designated fire pit in the back yard (even if you bring your own self contained fire pit) We provide a pressure-mounted "baby" gate for use at the bottom of the stairs. Please do not use this at the top of the stairs, as pressure-mounted gates carry the risk of being pushed over or pulled down. We allow a max of two small/medium-sized dogs, no larger than 35 pounds each, with Host notification and a $100 pet fee. No other pets are permitted without Host approval. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding. In consideration of the guests who follow after you, and the neighborhood, please make sure to clean up after your dog(s) in the yard and also control barking. The backyard is fenced but we cannot guarantee that it is escape proof. In addition, there are often wild animals (skunks, javelina, and the occasional bear or mountain lion etc.), in the area, so please watch your pet. Please note that the backyard is not landscaped (see pictures). When outside, but not in the fenced yard, dogs must be leashed at all times. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway (which can accommodate 5-6 vehicles). If you have additional vehicles, trailers, side x sides, etc., please contact host for approval before booking.
