HOT TUB! Lots of things to do at our River House Retreat. Fish from the bank, watch the rafters and kayakers float by. Enjoy the night sky and river at night by the fire pit and relax with a cool beverage by the river. If that is not enough excitement, how about a whitewater raft ride down the Nantahala River. A short walk to Paddle Inn for boats and stop off at your own private retreat for a half way break or just relax on the covered porch and watch the river pass by. The space This home away from home is in the Nantahala Gorge just minutes from The Nantahala outdoor Center, Lake Fontana and the Great Smoky Mountain national Park Our mountain retreat sleeps six guests comfortably with two bedrooms with a primary bathroom attached to the main bedroom and a guest bathroom. The kitchen and living room areas are open and spacious with a covered porch and deck overlooking the river. There is a huge covered Area under the house where the hot tub lives that is great for hammocks all overlooking the river. A great place to spend a rainy afternoon. Beside all this on the River we have a nice gentle bank with slower water to cool off, an excellent fishing hole and a fire pit on a point with views up and down the river. Unlike many vacation destinations in the region, we have excellent phone reception especially through Verizon. I have found that the WiFi through my cell phone is faster than the existing WiFi through the dish. We have full cable service With recording capabilities. Unfortunately we have found no suitable Wi-Fi in any type that will accommodate streaming apps such as Netflix or Hulu. Should you need better phone reception or Wi-Fi an option to try is down at the NOC Where they have Wi-Fi outside. Our limited Wi-Fi is unfortunate but very common here in the mountains. Guest access Parking is in front of the house. Your home away from home sits between two other houses. It has a shared driveway with the neighbor.
