A remote worker's paradise in Bar Harbor
Five minutes from the entrance to Acadia National Park and eight minutes from downtown Bar Harbor, the Log Cabin is our beloved home, not a soulless vacation rental. We designed the house as a retreat where our friends and family could play, work, and relax together. It features three bedrooms, two full baths, a separate office, massive deck, and plenty of space to spread out. The space The Log Cabin is fully outfitted for remote work. Enjoy the view of our red maples from your dedicated office with sit-stand desk, velvet reading chaise, external monitor, and laser printer--a perfect writer’s retreat. A second sit-stand desk in the gaming room allows for further ergonomic options. Two of the bedrooms include their own small desks, and a fifth desk in the daylight basement is ideal for those who need more soundproofing. The large kitchen is fully stocked for serious cooking. The enormous deck with table, couch, chaise lounges, gas grill, and shade umbrellas is the perfect place for dining, relaxing, reading, or even working outdoors. Air-conditioning and a washer/dryer make the Log Cabin ideal for longer stays. Enjoy our collection of board games and puzzles in the game room--from chess to Catan to Taboo. Pour over our hiking maps and guidebooks in the living room, then go conquer a mountain or two. Play croquet, frisbee, soccer, or football on the huge lawn. Get inspired by the photos of Acadia throughout the house, all taken by us or by local artists. Listen to the birds from the balcony off the master bedroom. Grab our pool noodles and beach towels and float in pristine Lakewood Pond, only five minutes away. Walk to Pirate’s Cove Minigolf or Mainely Meat BBQ. And when your day of fun (or work!) is finally over, curl up in front of our 75” TV in the finished basement and stream your favorite shows. Or, better yet, take the telescope onto the deck for stargazing. Either way, we hope you find the Log Cabin as perfect a retreat as we do. Sorry, no kids under twelve. Guest access Private driveway with three parking spaces. If you want more than three, you can park as many as you want in the driveway, blocking each other in. Other things to note Jason grew up minutes from Bar Harbor, hiking the mountains of Acadia National Park, sailing on Frenchman Bay, and eventually sharing his passion for Maine with Jordanna. Since then, we’ve both traveled all over, but we always come back to Acadia—our favorite place on the planet. We’re avid hikers who have explored every trail in the park, and we’re happy to share our expertise. We’ll help you find spectacular and secluded hikes even at the height of the season.
