Welcome to my comfortable desert house. This nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is great for weekly or weekend getaways. The house is the center of the city on a quiet street. 7 minutes to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, 10 minutes to the Marine Corps base. The space The house is an 1500 sqft recently remodeled home. House has strong central A/C in each room keeping you cool in the desert summer and warm during the colder months . It has a full kitchen, with the silverware, cookware, plates, mugs, glasses and basic cooking supplies such as salt, pepper, oil. Kitchen has newer appliances, well stocked with a variety of coffee and teas. Washer and dryer is available. There are 2 queen beds in bedrooms with comfortable sheets and mattresses, 2 full size beds in third bedroom , and queen sofa sleeper and fold-out mattress in the living room. This house can fit up to 7 people. The house has high-speed unlimited internet and free WiFi. Large fenced-in area in the large backyard. Occupancy limit is 7 persons. Children under 5 do not count into 7 person occupancy limit. There is playhouse for the children in the backyard. Brick built coal barbecue available in the back yard. Guest access Guest have a whole house available for themselves. Other things to note The house is a few blocks away from the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, Park Headquarters, and Oasis Visitor Center. The main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park in the nearby Joshua Tree village has only one ticketing booth and when everyone wants to go to the Park you can also imagine the wait and the line. Then the Park rangers redirect visitors away to this north entrance located in 29 Palms which is 7 min drive from the house, see the map in the Photos section. There is only one main asphalt road between the two entrances and you can go up and down it from either side. The house is located in the city suburb, but there is still a desert wilderness around. There might be ants crawling in, bugs, beetles, mosquitos, coyotes, etc. Once, I found a little Mojave Desert tortoise in the middle of the living room, wanting to outrun me to safety. Did not keep it, did set it outside in the shade to go back to wherever it came from. There might be brief power outages, gas outages, or Internet outages, sometimes due to storms, and maybe electrical poles or cables get damaged. It is unusual for guests coming from large cities to experience service outages. This is still a rural area, It does happen, it is beyond my control as a host, and I do not have backup power generators in the house. However, services get restored fairly quickly by utility companies. The climate is desert, which means there is sand almost everywhere. If you are from a green grassy county, this might be new to you. There might be fine sand in the house here and there. The moment you open the front door, the sand walks into the living room together with you. Registration Details VHR198
