Apartment A, which sleeps 5, is ideal for families with children. Consisting of a large living room with a kitchenette and a bedroom, as well as a bathroom with a shower, the apartment is located on the second floor of our villa in a quiet rural area near Vesuvius National Park, a region rich in charm and history, about 2.5 miles from the Herculaneum archaeological site. It has a small private garden with table, chairs and barbecue, parking space and Wi-Fi. For large groups there is a similar apartment on the ground floor. The space Our villa is located in the upper part of Herculaneum, in the countryside, in a quiet area frequented only by residents, near the Vesuvius National Park, away from the noise and traffic of the city but just 3 km from the center of Herculaneum and 4 km from the “Herculaneum Archaeological Site.” Nearby there are shops, supermarkets, pizzerias and restaurants typical of Neapolitan cuisine. The hillside location makes the apartment pleasantly airy and cool in summer, and its prime, central position relative to the region’s main tourist destinations makes our home an ideal starting point for your excursions. You will need to use a car for all your travel, as public transportation in the province of Naples is not very efficient. Specifically, the bus line that used to connect our home to the Circumvesuviana train station (3 km/1.9 miles away) is currently suspended, and we do not know when or if the service will be operational again. With the nearby highway, 2 km, you can easily reach all the tourist destinations in the region. In about 15 minutes you can reach Naples, the airport and the port of bunny for the islands (Capri, Ischia and Procida); Pompeii, Oplonti and Castellammare di Stabia from where the Sorrento Peninsula begins. In about half an hour, you can reach Vietri Sul Mare from where the Amalfi Coast begins with the famous Amalfi, Ravello and Positano. And then, Salerno, Paestum and its temples, Caserta and its palace, Pozzuoli and the Solfatara, Cuma, the lakes of Averno and Lucrino. Rome is only two hours away by car and a few minutes away, on the other hand, the archaeological site of Herculaneum, the National Park and the crater of Vesuvius. The sea is just 5 km (3 miles) away, with its characteristic black volcanic sand beaches. The most easily accessible beaches are in Portici (about 5 km) and on the Torre del Greco coast (about 8 km). Here, the Litoranea road runs along the sea and allows you to easily get to many beaches, some free, others equipped with beach resorts and convenient parking. In the area numerous clubs, bars, pizzerias and restaurants, where you can eat typical products at fairly low prices. As mentioned, our property consists of two apartments, about 50 square meters each, of equal characteristics. Apartment "A" is on the second floor of the family villa, and apartment "B" on the ground floor. Both were renovated in 2011. Nearby there are shops, supermarkets, pizzerias and restaurants typical of Neapolitan cuisine. Apartment “A,” located on the second floor, can accommodate up to 5 people: three in the bedroom, which has a double bed and a single bed, and two in the living room, which has a comfortable double sofa bed. A camping cot for children up to 3-4 years is available for free upon request. The apartment is equipped with air conditioner, fan and independent heating system with programmable timer, refrigerator-freezer, washing machine, TV with DVD player, microwave, toaster, mocha for espresso, blender, iron and ironing board, hair dryer. On the terrace there is a side table with chairs for breakfast or relaxing outdoors. In the small garden there is a masonry barbecue with a table and chairs, for outdoor barbecues. The geographical context is ideal for families with children, away from the traffic and noise of the city but only 2 km from the center of Herculaneum. Guest access The apartment has a separate entrance directly from the garden. Our entrance gate is 2.40 meters wide. It is therefore possible to comfortably park small and medium-sized cars inside our property. If your car is very large and maneuvering is difficult, you can park for free in a fenced space 100 meters from the house, accessible directly from the street through a 5-meter-wide gate. Equipped outdoor spaces for exclusive use: a balcony, a small terrace and a small garden with table, chairs and barbecue. Free parking space in the garden. Other things to note Upon arrival, a rental agreement will be signed with the personal details of all guests, and each adult guest must pay the Tourist Tax, set by the Municipality of Ercolano, in the amount of €2 per night.
