Elegant and cozy apartment, located in the historic center of Catania in a side street of the central Via Etnea. The apartment is on the second floor of a small historic building without an elevator, adjacent to Via Crociferi. NOTES: French windows with double glazing to block external noise. Self check-in is not available. Check-in between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and check-out at 11:00 a.m. For check-in and check-out outside the indicated time slots, see house rules. The space The apartment is a 64 sqm two-room apartment (with high vaulted ceilings) consisting of: - Living Room / Kitchen / Dining Area. The apartment's access door opens onto this space, and from here you can directly access the double bedroom. A large French window illuminates the room and allows access to a balcony from which you can admire the splendid Cerami portal and the lively Via Penninello. The space is equipped with air conditioning (hot/cold) with dehumidifier - Large bedroom, equipped with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. The room benefits from natural light coming from the living room (through a double internal door with darkened glass) and has a double-glazed window overlooking the staircase (typical of ancient Sicilian houses) which allows ventilation. The space is equipped with air conditioning (hot/cold) with dehumidifier. - Large bathroom, with a comfortable shower, accessible from the bedroom (en-suite). The bathroom has a window (located higher up - see photo) that can be mechanically opened for ventilation. The window draws air from a ventilation duct that leads into a private inner courtyard. The ventilation duct ends with a grid that ensures safety. - Small laundry room, with access from the bathroom, equipped with a washing machine. Guest access The area is well served by public transportation (bus and subway): - A 3-minute walk to the Alibus "Stesicoro" stop (airport shuttle). - A 4-minute walk to the “Stesicoro” metro stop; Other things to note The absolutely safe neighborhood offers a rich choice of restaurants, bars, pubs, shops that make “Scinnuta Cerami” the ideal place for those who, in addition to cultural visits, want to immerse themselves in the Catania nightlife. Its location makes it an ideal place to easily walk to the most interesting sites. Via Penninello is full of bars and restaurants but, as some of my guests have written in their reviews, this is not a problem as the French windows with double glazing on the balcony and the wooden shutters block the noise of the street almost completely.
