Description
Built in 1944 and fully restored, this character, comfy cabin is very unique and cozy. For 3 years I worked tirelessly and with passion to bring modern amenities to this 350 square foot, 1 room 1 bath cabin while keeping all the nostalgia of 1944. I finished the main renovations in August 2021 and am now delighted to share it with you! Cabin is available for long term rentals over the winter, please contact me to discuss options. The space The 1944 Robb Cabin features fully restored, original shiplap walls and ceilings, with painted plywood highlights. All the amenities of a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher plus solid wood and stone countertops, make the space clean and ambient. Three slider windows face south for all-day sunlight and greenery and the colour palette co-exists with nature. A covered deck and other quaint areas around the yard are perfect for morning coffee, small-plate meals, BBQing, or just relaxing in the outdoors. The landscape, while surrounded by evergreen trees, has a fire pit set in a pad of the cabin’s original bricks, and sidewalks created from flat-stones collected from the property. The cabin is unique because I bought it at 23 years old and spent 3 years working a full time job and renovating on weekends to help me afford to go back to University. This new and modern meets 1944 build makes for the perfect getway for couples, hikers, fishers, hunters, and families to get out of the city and enjoy an old character cabin with the features and cleanliness of a new home. The cabin is inside a hamlet and therefore does have neighbors on either side, however it still provides a real sense of being in nature from many trees and fresh air that you just don't get in the city. Robb is located in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains and you will not be dissapointed with the stunning views! Guest access Cabin guests have private access to the cabin except to the mechanical room and cleaning cabinet. The parking, yard space and firepit is shared, and the owner's shed and trailer is unavailable to cabin guests. Depending on check ins and check outs, rainfalls and snowfalls, Scott may contact you if there is a good time for someone to come shovel/ mow the lawn. Generally guests are responsible for their own shoveling during their stay. Other things to note - Fire pit and fire wood provided. Axe, firestarter, marshmellow stick, and lighter all provided. - Outdoor receptacle and long extension cord provided to plug in your vehicle.
