Enjoy walkable access to crystal-clear Watauga Lake*, sip morning coffee on the wrap-around deck as fog lifts over the mountains, and gather around the fire pit for sunset, stargazing and memory-making. Your ideal home base for outdoor adventure! *Note: Lake levels are managed by TVA & currently lower than normal; boat access at our private dock may be limited. The space Enjoy stunning long-range Appalachian mountain views and sunset vistas from all three floors! Featuring a wrap-around porch and spaces designed for families and dogs*, this multi-level cabin offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious third-floor loft for a total of 7 beds. Private Dock & Watauga Lake Access The private dock sits 0.2 miles downhill on beautiful Watauga Lake—perfect for swimming, fishing, or relaxing on the benches. *Please Note:* The walk back up from the dock is steep and can be strenuous depending on your fitness level. Additionally, as of 7/23/26, TVA-managed lake levels are currently too low for boat access to our dock. Main Level (4 step up to exterior porch then no stairs on the first floor) An open-concept living space with a family room (TV & gas fireplace), dining table for 8, and a fully stocked gourmet kitchen featuring a farmhouse sink, gas range, wine chiller, and island seating for 4. This floor includes the primary en-suite—ideal for guests who prefer to avoid stairs—featuring a king bed, desk, TV, dual-vanity bath with a walk-in shower, and a full-size washer/dryer. Second Floor Two comfortable secondary bedrooms, each outfitted with a queen bed, dresser, and dedicated work desk, sharing a full hall bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Third Floor Loft The ultimate family hangout! Features a TV, reclining seating, board games, a foosball table, and 2 queen daybeds each with a full-size trundle bed. (4 beds in total) Outdoor Living The expansive wrap-around porch offers a gas fire pit with rocking chairs for s'mores, 2 hanging relaxation chairs, hook and ring game, a gas grill, and outdoor dining enjoying the mountain air. Guest Policies -Dogs Welcome: We invite your pups to join the family trip (pet fee applies). -Booking Policy: The primary guest making the reservation MUST check in and stay at the property for the entire duration. No 3rd-party bookings allowed. Guest access Guests have access to the entire three story cabin. Other things to note Remote enough to give you a break from it all while enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the lake around us, yet 30 miles to Boone NC or Johnson City TN if you need all of the comforts of home. Mountain City and Elizabethton are the closest small towns to Butler. *The dock is locate a short downhill walk from the cabin and there is a stair case that leads to the dock from the road. The walk back to the cabin is a strenuous .2 mile walk uphill to the house. Cove water levels vary in the fall and winter due to the TVA lake draw down **Due to owner allergies, we only allow dogs on the property with a pet fee.
