Lakefront Cottage with Large Backyard

Enjoy a nice getaway in this charming cottage at Lake Tapps while taking in the view from Mount Rainier. Enjoy the benefits of a lake front house and relax by the water or go paddleboarding or kayaking all day and then relax on your own private sandy beach in the evening or a nice hot steam sauna. This home is also only an hour away from Crystal Mountain, making it an ideal home base for your skiing trip! After a day in the slopes, come back and enjoy the hot sauna. The space The entire home is available for your use. The main level has the living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. The upstairs includes a bedroom, an open bedroom and a bathroom. There are decks both upstairs and downstairs. The house is right on the water with access to kayaks and paddle boards during the spring and summer. This property has a low bank, so the water by the dock is shallow. You will have your own little private beach by the water. Just place a beach towel and soak in the sun in the spring and summer. Or just enjoy some fun family time building sandcastles! This home has access to a private community park that has a volleyball court, a playground, BBQ grills and picnic tables. Access requires a keyfob so please contact us if you would like to access the park. Guest access Plenty of parking. You are welcome to park your RV or trailer on the property. There's a public boat launch on the north side of Lake Tapps. There's also a private community park with a boat launch. Please reach out to us if you would like the keyfob to access the private park. Other things to note Please note that the stairs to the second floor are spiral (see pictures). This may not suit older guests or any guests with mobility issues. No late parties outdoors after 11 pm that would disturb the neighbors! This is a quiet residential neighborhood. Please note that pets must be approved and will incur a pet fee (for liability purposes, you must declare that you are arriving with a pet). Please read hot sauna instructions carefully before using and contact us for any questions/clarifications. IMPORTANT: Ensure you shut off the sauna after use. If it's left on all day, it will incur a $50/day fee!
